Friendly and very welcoming from the moment we walk through the door!!! Wow what a hotel!! We had a fabulous time staying here. Staff made us feel very welcome. Nothing was to much trouble and always went the extra mile. Shuttle bus is a bonus and runs every half hour. Will be staying here again next year! Thank you for a lovely stay. USA 2014 What a welcome surprise the Ravel Hotel was. After reading so many negative reviews of the hotel I can honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff were friendly, polite and helpful. Our room was ready when we arrived. Yes the furniture was mismatched and had some marks on it. So what! We were here for a holiday not to sit in the room. Our room looked out over Manhattan and which was magnificent. Housekeeping looked after our room very well for the 7 days we were there. We didn't try the restaurant for dinner or breakfast but did hear music on the Saturday night but was not really worried about it. As for the area, we were not at all worried about walking back from the subway at night. There was a shuttle bus but we did not use it. We walked to and from the subway in about 10-15 minutes. Thank you Ravel Hotel for making our New York stay fantastic.

Super convenient location with great staff & services! Lovely rooms, friendly staff, convenient location for a visit to the Big Apple!! I would recommend to everyone!

Ravel Hotel - New York The Ravel Hotel is in a good location overlooking Manhattan on the East River with fantastic views, the staff were helpful and friendly. There is a shuttle bus to the nearest subway station and it only takes about 10 minutes to Times Square, Central Park etc. so for all the attractions it ideally located. The hotel is generally clean and comfortable, the decor is not to everyone's taste but we thought it good and different. Okay the actual area where the hotel is cited is not particularly pretty but we thought it safe enough to walk at night in the area and from the subway etc. It could do with a little updating\makeover and general improvements but maybe this will happen once the new wing is open. Not too bad overall.

Convient and chic This was my first stay at The Ravel Hotel and I couldn't have been more pleased. Convenient, chic, and cost efficient. My meeting was a short walk from the hotel so it was quite convenient. Service and food in the The rooftop restaurant were incredible. Great venue for photo ops. The car service back to Penn Station was wonderful. I would highly recommend this property for business or personal travelers.
