GBGlobehunters misleads customers I placed order for tickets to Costa Rica and at the end of the booking web page said there was a problem and the charge did not go through; and that I should contact them which I did. My bank did not allow the charge which i got approved. Over the next 24 hours I called globehunters and each person there confirmed my tickets were booked; the credit card charge went through and confirmed they would e-mail my airline confirmation number/ itinerary in the next 10 minutes. After three phone call I never received an e-mail. I received a telephone call out from them asking why I booked that flight and this was a very busy flight due to holidays (Nov 5th?) although not sure which holiday they referred to. The person then asked to look up other flights for me because the one I wanted was now all booked in economy and was not available. I declined to change flights or date and moved on. I found the same flight for $50 per ticket more directly booked with airlines. Globe hunters did not book the flight because they want the phone call and then push for an upsell. Most companies prefer not to have a person on the phone but seems this company insists that all contact is by phone and they have plenty of operators. While they probably do issue tickets they are mis-representing pricing and they lie when you call them.
