USMy husband and I purchased the Italy… My husband and I purchased the Italy Renaissance Cities tour with Mainly Vacations. Upon our arrival in Rome we found out that the other 22 people that were suppose to be on the tour with us did not make the flight. So two 70 year old people that had not been to Italy before were on their own. Mainly contacted us everyday and gave us directions and information on our tours but we had to navigate the tours, the taxis, the train -dining. It was stressful but worked out. We have written confirmation that Mainly would reimburse us for our expenses - they have acknowledged that they have our receipts. We also have written confirmation of $500 that would be refunded to us due to the issue with the tour. After months of correspondence, Mainly no longer responds and we have not received any reimbursement. Very disappointed

USPlan on Using Them Again Soon My sister and I used Mainly Vacation to visit Greece and Dubai. Brian called us before our trip and informed us that the tour before us had problems with the local tour company so they were going to use a different local company. We were picked up at the airport as planned and taken to our hotel. I could tell that Mainly Vacations was working out some bugs with the new local company, but we were kept informed the entire time. We received everything that we paid for. We had a great time in Athens, Santorini and Mykonos. In fact, we plan on going back next year. Because of the problems experienced with the new tour company, Brian upgraded us to the Fairmont Hotel in Dubai. It was spectacular. We're planning on doing the Croatia cruise with Mainly Vacation in the very near future.

USI just finished reading the reviews… I just finished reading the reviews posted against Mainly Vacations and almost every one written is exactly the same problem I experienced, We booked a trip in Sept. 2018 for Italy in July 2019. Three weeks before the trip when I had not yet received any paperwork about the trip although been told numerous times all flights were arranged, I was finally told the trip was cancelled as it was a small group tour and 12 other passengers cancelled. We, too, were offered the independent tour but as we are in our 70s and taking our 12 year old granddaughter, we did not feel comfortable doing this. According to the terms and conditions, our deposit and final payment would be refunded. We received our final payment but have not yet received the $1,200 deposit. I have been told many times, that it would be coming. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau with the hopes of getting my money back. Although their tours sound interesting, I would not trust this company to make it happen.

USDo not book tours with this company Do not book tours with this company. I, my son and his friend paid our money to visit London and Paris for a week from 9/14/19. Days before the trip, my son told me the trip was canceled. The company didn’t have the decency to let me know. Later found out, they never booked any flight, and of course they are supposed to be refunding the money within 5-15 business days.
