Overall Good Trip Value - above average for the price.but not excellent Lodging - excellent (Athens, Santorini, Mykonos & Dubai) Guide support - outstanding in Athens; good in Santorini & Mykonos; less than satisfactory in Dubai. We had to negotiate for the bus to take the group back to the hotel, versus being left at the mall and securing our transportation. Emirates -- difficulty checking in online; not assigned a seat next to your travel partner to Athens & Dubai Emirates changed baggage policy on February 1, 2019, MV should have spearheaded a discussion with the airline to ensure no problems. Considering the fact that MV was paid long before Feb. 1st. I hold MV totally responsible for the poor seat assignments and not being willing to speak to airlines on our behalf. Finally, the travel APP would not work (or load properly) on my IPhone 7. Some in our group which did have access notice the APP was inadequate because there weren't any updates with revisions.

My husband and I purchased the Italy… My husband and I purchased the Italy Renaissance Cities tour with Mainly Vacations. Upon our arrival in Rome we found out that the other 22 people that were suppose to be on the tour with us did not make the flight. So two 70 year old people that had not been to Italy before were on their own. Mainly contacted us everyday and gave us directions and information on our tours but we had to navigate the tours, the taxis, the train -dining. It was stressful but worked out. We have written confirmation that Mainly would reimburse us for our expenses - they have acknowledged that they have our receipts. We also have written confirmation of $500 that would be refunded to us due to the issue with the tour. After months of correspondence, Mainly no longer responds and we have not received any reimbursement. Very disappointed

Best customer service ever! Our trip to Rome, Sorrento, and the Amalfi coast was full of beauty, fun. Adventure, and fabulous food. Mainly vacations put together the most wonderful tours, along with free time at each location. We had some challenges on our trip such as a cancelled flight, and a change in our tour group size, but everything was managed and compensated for by our contact. Brian John, who kept in touch the entire trip and helped where needed. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to see the South of Italy, and learn about the history and geography of the area.

Great value for the price Great value for the price, air, hotels, transportation and tours. Had some minor issues with land tour operators as they used independent local tour operators and the information they received did not always coordinate with what Mainly gave them. The full day local tour guides were great. The only major problem was they gave us the wrong pick up time at the hotel for the Dhow Dinner cruise in Dubai and we waited in the hotel lobby for over 2 1/2 hours! Overall the itinerary and tours were done well.

DON'T DO IT!!!! If I coul take the whole experience back .. I would . I booked a trip to the Amalfi coast with Brian John who did nothing but scam us. We absolutely were recommended to Mainly Vacations from another friend.. but believe me that was NOT our experince. We got on a train to Naples with fake tickets, and only to find out with absolute confirmation with each of the hotels that we were to stay.. that reservations were never made. Brian John did not book our trip like we had commisssioned him to do. I have in my possession every piece of confirmation that supports that he did not do what he was paid to do.i will make it my mission to help other travelers not to make this same mistake, Do Not Book With BRIAN JOHN!!!!!!!!
