GBAVOID THIS AIRLINE AVOID THIS AIRLINE! Me and my partner have been waiting to receive our compensation which we're owed under EU 261 law (now UK 261) after we missed our connecting flight (due to 'technical errors' on our first Turkish Airlines flight) and were subsequently put on two additional flights with a different airline and arrived at our destination 8 and a half hours late. This took place 3 MONTHS AGO and Turkish Airlines have still not paid us the money that they (eventually) acknowledged that they owe us and are now completely ignoring our feedback messages regarding this. This is clearly not an acceptable way for an airline to act and I would strongly advise anyone from ever flying with Turkish Airlines. We are now looking into taking Turkish Airlines to court with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) - I advise anyone else experiencing the same thing to also do this as they should not be allowed to get away with this!

CYFlight Cancelation with zero Compensation Flight got cancelled by Turkish Airlines via mail one day before departure. After lenghty inquiry with the completly unsatisfactory customer service I got a written statement to get compensation. About 7 months after the flight I still did not get any payment from Turkish Airlines, whereas the customer service states the standard phrase "In our investigation we see that your ticket refund transactions have already been made." Which is untrue.

GBCRIMINAL! My girlfriend was refused boarding at the airport in Phuket because "she did not have a return ticket with Turkish Airlines". This was certainly not a reason to refuse boarding but we decided to book a return anyway just to avoid ruining our travel plans. Just prior to completing the transaction we were told that our seat had been given to another passenger. This was at the airport 1hr 10 mins before flight departure. They had no right to refuse boarding and when we did as they said they moved the goal posts yet again. I suspect the flight was over booked and they were looking for reasons to reject passengers. To make matters worse they are standing behind there story and have not refunded the ticket - despite the ground staff saying that we could get a refund by contacting customer service. At best this is just awful customer service and worst it is a criminal offence. I personally will not be flying Turkish Airlines again and strongly urge other would be clients to look elsewhere. What a shame since I used to enjoy flying with this airline.

GBWorse airlines ever Worse airlines ever , I would rate it 0 . My flight was delayed and i missed my connecting flight when i went to their desk in istanbul i was greeted with annoyed staff very unprofessional and rude , i was stucked in istanbul for 16hrs coz they said there was no flight available for 2 days coz of eid. Turns out there was a flight in the morning , so i endedup buying a ticket from Istanbul to london for £600+ including my baggage fare . When i came Uk and emailed them they said ive bought the ticket from the agent not them , what the fk? i sent them the reciept picture of the transcation i bought from them but they are still saying i bought the ticket from agent ?? Avoid buying tickets from this airline . Id rate it -0 if i could

GBWorst airline experience I could ever imagine Worst airline experience I could ever imagine. My father died in February and least of all I wanted to deal with the flight and airline issues. I booked flight in January for March and when my father got worse I exchanged the flight online for 4 passengers to February. This is when all the whole worsest service experience in my life started. This was a nightmare for everyone in my family as Turkish Airlines DELETED my flight from the system and didn’t refund the money also didn’t notify me about the cancellation and the reason. Looked like an error. However the money was paid. I called the airline to ask why I can’t check my flight status online ? And they said your flight is deleted, submit a ticket to customer support and we will get back to you. To make it shorter they got back to me AFTER I returned back from funeral. I called about 50+ times in order to resolve THEIR mistake. When I finally got my ticket after paying another 550$ for exchange, they canceled my husband and daughters flight 48 hours before the departure and again they don’t know why and asking to submit the ticket online. Each time I called their representatives had different excuses: either their system is down or their ticketing will get back to me or they were just transferring me to Chinese line without request, I don’t speak Chinese. I had sleepless nights as my flight was canceled and airline was not resolving the issue but by dads funeral was in few days. They don’t have any support for those whose flight is within 24-48 hours or less. They just advise to submit a ticket on their website a some mysterious team will get back to you within 7 days. Even if your flight is tomorrow. So I will never ever recommend to anyone to deal with Turkish Airline if you don’t want a stress and headache. My sister had the same worst experience with this airline in regards to buying a ticket for her dog for a flight. I will not recommend and will spread my story and my relatives story to everyone who would ask me about this airline I also want to mentioned that I paid $300+ for seat with bassinet and called to add my husband and child to pay for their seats with me. I was told it is IMPOSSIBLE and I need to buy the seats at check in. At check in they said THERE ARE NO available seats near me so I would have to fly 13 hours alone with a baby in lap. In a lap as they had turbulence all the way to my destination and I couldn’t put baby in the bassinet, so the money for the seats were just waisted. So I asked them to give us some random seats but together on the way back due to this nonsense. Also the airline COULDNT add my infant to the reservation. They said I will have to add and pay in the airport before departure. The amount of stress I got with this airline is immense. NO to Turkish airlines forever!!!
