GBSharks! As they refuse to offer the promised refund I turned to my credt card company. What a bunch of sharks! They don't deserve 1-star, but we can't give them less. They finally agreed that we were entitled to a refund for being downgraded when an Economy-only aircraft was substituted for our scheduled aircraft with a Business Class cabin and gave me the e-mail address of the London office to claim it. The e-mail was ignored, the follow-up letter was ignored, the report to the laughably-named 'We Care' (they really, really don't, so this title is world-class hypocrisy) was ignored. Therefore I put in a Section 75 claim to my credit card company. They have now refunded the difference, 'unless Egyptair prove that I'm not entitled to it, or refund me themselves'. They can't do the first and seem determined not to do the second. But how are these dishonest bandits allowed to be members of Star Alliance, which consists of otherwise reputable airlines? Never again with Egyptair, never, never.

GBDisgusting Customer Service Hanan is one of the rudest agents I have ever come into contact with. From the start of the phone call attitude was prevalent and I wasn’t able to properly ask any of my questions or concerns without her constantly saying “you should have said that from the start”. Completely inappropriate, disgusting, and unprofessional. I recorded the entire phone call and will be reporting her. I asked if she speaks Arabic and she said she does not, however, based on her accent and her name it is clear that she does speak Arabic.

CYNever again traveled with Egyptian Air four times last week 1-. When you give your luggage, there is no respect for the priority of the business class. 2-when you were riding on the bus to the plane, they put us on an old, non-air-conditioned bus in high heat, with more than seventy people with us. We thought we were on a bus in India. Thirdly, the business class cafeteria in Cairo does not fit this name. Dirty and the service is very bad

GBThieves Maybe the airlines are honest, but Egyptair duty-free at the airport in Hurghada is one big group of thieves. Don't pay with any visa debit card because you will be robbed

GBIt got one star as the aircraft arrived… It got one star as the aircraft arrived on time to London from Cairo. We purchased water/drinks in departure lounge, only to find another security check at the gate. Drinks were not allowed through. The aircraft was very warm and no drinks served until 3 hrs into flight (by then, I had already gone to the galley and got drinks for my wife and children, although many passengers didn’t manage it. Non existent Cabin crew until the food was served, at which point the crew member wasn’t watching where she was going and literally ‘crashed’ into a lady trying to get back into her seat. Some food was spilt in the aisle, which was much easier for the cabin crew to step over (many times) instead of clear it up. A passenger left a ‘hat bin’ open, (unfortunately there was no turbulence to bring his stuff down on top of his head), 4 cabin crew walked past at least twice and left it open. I dread to think what would have happened if there had been an emergency. The cabin remained hot for the flight, even though some passengers asked for it to be turned down and the cabin lights finally went off with 1hr to go, only to be turned on 30mins later for landing. I would never use EgyptAir unless I have no other options whatsoever…….
