Poor customer service and follow-up We rented a house this past weekend and it was not very clean. Also, the heat stopped working in part of the house. We reported the heat immediately because it was a priority. Carolla Classic Vacations said an HVAC vendor would be out that day, but no one ever came. We called and the Service Manager stated the work order was submitted to HVAC vendor electronically but admitted they do not follow up to see if vendor received work order or addressed the issue. We spent two out of three nights with no heat in part of the house. We also informed the Service Manager of the uncleanliness. She asked me to text her photos. I sent her many and she said she would get back to us on the issue. It's been two days and haven't heard from anyone. I spent many years in real estate management and, in my opinion, this would not be a company that I'd allow to manage my home/investment. From a customer service standpoint, they would likely avoid negative reviews by being responsive to customers and following up when they say they will. Also, the roof looks like it had been recently re-shingled and we found more than 20 nails on and around the driveway. There were also shingles with nails laying around the property. We shouldn't spend part of a long weekend cleaning up so the premises are safe and santitized.

We rented Grapefruit Moon in July of… We rented Grapefruit Moon in July of 2017 the house was unkept it was filthy upon arrival there are multiple issues and we did file our complaints very unsatisfied. Not only was the interior dirty but the furniture itself was dirty the freezer in the refrigerator didn't work properly many issues.

We did a survey and sent e mails after… We did a survey and sent e mails after our trip last summer. The pool deck was rotting, water was dripping through the ceiling from an air condotioner, the refrigerator door was rusting, the wood floors were sticky, the kitchen counter top was deteriorating, etc. Additionally, the homeowner had contractors in the house while we were out without our approval. All of this was brought to the attention of the local office. Seemed the only think they cared about was when we were leaving....

Whispering Pines 9 We have been going to Corolla Light for the past 20 years. We recently stayed at Whispering Pines 9 and were very disappointed. Stove wasn’t properly cleaned and caught on fire. 1980s refrigerator took 3 days to make ice and cool below 40 degrees and that was after the technician hard reset it. Hot tub never worked for the whole week. Property abuts route 12 and it is the only house that the trees either died or were cut down. The only positive of the house it came with a beach storage locker, which was needed as it is far from the beach.

BEWARE before you rent from Corolla… BEWARE before you rent from Corolla Classic Vacations by Vacasa!!!! “Cancellation Policy: If you cancel within 24 hours of booking, you'll receive a full refund. After that (unless stated otherwise in the home description and unit-specific terms), if you cancel 30 or more days before the first night of your reservation, you'll receive a refund of any rental payments you've made, minus the booking fee.” We reserved a beach house in June 2022 for the next year June 2023. My first payment was $4226 and another payment due in 2023. I cancelled that reservation 6 weeks later. They charged me 10% of my total bill $803. That’s some “booking fee” for them considering the house was only off the market 6 weeks one year in advance.
