GBExpedia is an offshore and ignores UK consumer rights Expedia is misrepresented as a UK company but refused to give a UK address for complaints or service of legal papers. They know they are defrauding customers a just cheat at every opportunity.Avoid, their chat service is robotic they just take your money and ignore your rights

NZRIP OFF OF THE CENTURY RIP OFF OF THE CENTURY I purchased hotel accommodation for 3 nights in NZ with NZ credit card and charged $147 of expedia fees for booking through them. It was showing as a NZ site with NZ dollars but they charge tax and fees on top of the advertised price that states includes taxes and fees. They were argumentative on the chat box, can't get an anwere out of anybody, it goes around in circles, and finally I found out that the tax he said I was being charged was just their fee. That was not mentioned anywhere prior. They don't have a phone number to call and the callers don't speak good English especially for a NZ site. DO NOT DEAL WITH THEM. GO TO THE HOTEL WEBSITE TO BOOK.

GBI normally use Expedia to book travel I normally use Expedia to book travel. This time I booked a flight, hotel and rental car for June 2024 and for the first time I took the travel insurance for all of it. However, I have a family emergence and did not have the funds to continue my trip and attend the family emergency. The insurance will NOT refund any of it. I have to submit a bunch of supporting documents as proof and then they will make a decision (weeks to process) whether or not a refund is warranted. I suggest you NOT use Expedia travel service. I will contact the companies directly to book reservations from now on.

GBWe booked a return flight with Expedia We booked a return flight with carry-ons included, only to find when we checked in that we had to pay an extra $47 per person for CARRY-ONS. This caused us undue stress the night before our flight. We learned from friends that Expedia tends to do this with return flights. Expedia must ensure itineraries include these details and avoid hiding them in indiscriminate screens while we are booking online. Last booking vis Expedia for us.

GBBe very careful when booking with Expedia We searched for flights using cheapflights.co.uk (also a company to avoid), we specifically selected checked luggage in the search engine. We it was transferred to Expedia to make the booking, the checked luggage was left out and we did not notice. We made the booking and were sent confirmation from the airline of the booking where we noticed the missing checked baggage option. We contacted Expedia and they were not interested in rectifying the error and we are now expected to may nearly £600 to add checked baggage. Be careful when using Expedia.
