GBThe advertising is extremely deceptive… The advertising is extremely deceptive regarding the discount. In Maine, the discount will be off of the standard offer. If you have selected a different energy supplier, you will not receive the discount off of the other supplier's charges. When the standard offer rates jump steeply, as they did for 2023, and you have a lower price contract with another supplier, the discount applied to to the standard offer may result in a bill that is HIGHER than you would pay without this solar contract. The kWh hours you banked this summer at such high prices will be used to offset this winter's bills that would otherwise have much lower kWh prices. Looking at the bigger picture, the cost of solar power is largely fixed cost infrastructure while the cost of fossil fuel is largely variable market costs for fuel. Why should we pay more for fixed cost solar electricity just because the price of fossil fuels goes up?

GBGreat savings. Fantastic customer support. I have been a customer for almost a year and they have been saving me money. As others have stated, the billing took a little bit to get used to, but everyone at the company I spoke with was friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciate the time they took to explain everything to me.

GBHelp to reduce your carbon footprint Nexamp is committed to healing the planet via alternate energy sources, mainly solar. They allow customers to buy into this mission, thereby reducing the individual/family's carbon footprint and saving money in the long-run. The model is a bit unusual, as it actually pays your energy provider (ie, National Grid, NYSEG, etc.) for the credits you earn, as you pay Nexamp. The amount they pay on your behalf is reduced from your energy bill. I won't get into how and what they do in detail. You can read that on their website. (Just google Nexamp.) I will say, though, if everyone in the area they serve subscribed to this company, our collective carbon footprint would be greatly reduced. I am very happy to be one "bristle in the brush" Nexamp is using to clean our environment.

GBThe company's billing cycle are a mess The company's billing cycle are a mess. This is after the original agreement at signup that billing would be through our electricity service provider, and not billed seperately. We still have not received our October billing. This has resulted in multiple late payment fees, greatly diminishing any cost reduction from credits. This process is further complicated by Nexamp not accepting any digital bank payments. Given the lack of any real savings, and the huge hassle of dealing with Nexamp's disorganized billing processes, we are terminating our account.

GBInitial sign on was a very easy…making change no problem Initial sign on was a very easy process. We got all our questions answered and to date everything that was promised has happened. We wanted to enroll in auto pay and had no problem doing so, the website was easy to maneuver. And recently we needed to change our payment option, and once again had no problem adding the new information & setting up our new preferences. We have also found all the information on Nexamp’s website to be very informative- ie shows our solar & storage location.
