Terrible Service and pricing Terrible Service and pricing. Kept my little house at 80 degrees in texas during the day and 76 at night and end of w/ $380 monthly bills. Service averages doesnt even match up so I sent an email and they never responded back. Poor Poor customer service and hard to get ahold of. Learned my lesson and look elsewhere!

Bait and switch prices Bait and switch prices. First year I never broke $99, after that I can’t get under $180 if my life depended on it. Turn the ac off, etc. it doesn’t matter. This company is greedy and shady, I would suggest using a competitor.

AVOID Nice on the phone but ridiculously difficult to deal with as far as getting anything taken care of when there is any type of issue.

Absolute TRASH Absolute trash. Their support team does NOT know what they are doing! Within a MONTH of service without notice or permission they have disconnected, reconnected and started themselves a new contract, and sent 4 bills. When calling their customer service for existing customers they don’t listen, transfer you off to someone else or claim they have no idea what’s going on an tell you to get on a longer wait call with CenterPoint.

4 Change Energy Prices Ads are Misleading 4 Change Energy advertises 12.9 cents/kwh on the Choose Texas Power (CTP) website - it's still on the web site today. What they don't tell you is that is the price if you use EXACTLY 1000 kwh. If you go over or under by 1 kwh, the price goes up by 50% to over 19 cents/kwh. 4 Change also advertises a BBB grade of A+. Not sure how, but they actually have an A-. The 3.6 out of 5 stars is also not confirmed, and I have no idea how they got that score - especially after reading pages of customers giving them 1 out of 5 stars on reviews on the BBB website. The Choose Texas Power Commission appears to be complicit in allowing misleading information - they informed me that they know of other companies that use "trick rates" like 4 Change uses. I am no longer with 4 Change, and happy to be free from their little tricks and traps. Beware their next poor victim.
