About ParkWhiz

Book Ahead: After you’ve selected a parking facility in the ParkWhiz mobile app or on parkwhiz.com, book a space and prepay for the time you need. You’ll receive a parking pass with instructions to help you park easily. Park Then Pay: For more flexibility, use the ParkWhiz app to pay at select parking facilities without booking ahead. Start a session in the app once you’ve parked, stay as long as you need, and control payment from your phone instead of stopping at the pay station. ParkWhiz for Alexa: Find parking hands-free on any device enabled with Amazon Alexa. Just say “Alexa, find parking” and get a parking recommendation based on where you’re going and when. ParkWhiz for Alexa works both in-car and in-home so you can find parking while focusing on driving or other tasks. Download the ParkWhiz app, available for iOS and Android.

Gouging or honest mistake? The experience of booking and parking was excellent. However I felt taken advantage on pricing. On leaving the attendant scanned our ticket to show a fee of $116 for our 2 day stay. The ParkWhiz fee was $191, leaving me feeling gouged. I assume the garage didn’t classify my Evoque as a large SUV but ParkWhiz did. I don’t know if this an honest disconnect or a structural money grabbing practice of ParkWhiz.

Beware of Overbookings! Drove from San Francisco to Los Angeles for a concert. Got there within 10 minutes of my reservation time only to find the lot full and closed off. Had to use the valet service next door. Very frustrating. UPDATE: ParkWhiz was very responsive to my issue, and refunded my money. I also had a second booking with them in San Diego which went smoothly. Upgrading to 3 stars.

Using ParWhiz was annoying Using ParWhiz was annoying. When I got to the parking lot that I had reserved, I didn't realize that I was supposed to take a ticket. So I spent a few minutes trying to use my emailed PassWhiz code to get in. When I left, it was even worse, it told me that my PassWhiz code was "used" and it wouldn't open the gate. I had to wait for an attendant and read the numbers next to the code to him. Finally, I could have gotten the same rate and saved the ParWhiz $1.80 fee by just parking "normally." This turned out to be a waste of time and money. Very disappointed.

Save yourself the grief I purchased a ticket for a concert, and then a few days later asked for a refund due to just getting a hotel room close to the venue. The parking ticket was way overpriced once it was all said and done. I received an E-mail that I'd receive a refund within 3-5 business days. Well, that never happened. I contacted the company who told me to contact my bank about the refund policies. Yeah, no refund was ever sent to my bank.
