About Cottman of Greensboro

Hello and thank you for stopping by our site. We are a nationwide company with centers throughout the US and Canada. We service, repair and rebuild all types of transmissions for both individuals and fleets companies. Typically, we work with clients who have transmission problems and are frustrated with the process of getting their car repaired. Our clients have told us before we started working with them they were concern with being overcharged for work performed. They were afraid of being lied too and would be charged for work that they did not need. Now, you probably don’t have these concerns, if you do, then you should call and find out if you qualify for a free complete transmission checkup. This includes a road test and external examination of your transmission, where we will evaluate the performance and condition of your vehicle's transmission, and determine what services, if any, are required.

Rob is a professional Rob is a professional. Prompt, courteous, and patient. They take the time to research and provide you with all the options for your repair. I was broke down in Greensboro from Conway, SC. as a result of Hurricane Florence. Cottman got my transmission replaced and me on the road quick. Good people. Quality work.

In August 2016 In August 2016, the O/D light was flashing and my vehicle was jerking into gear. Therefore, I had my transmission on my 2004 Ford Explorer rebuilt at Cottoman in Greensboro. Cottman appeared to be an acceptable transmission shop based upon reviews and recommendation and that is why I chose them. The warranty was 12 months or 12,000 miles. (Almost $2,700) Now, 19,000 miles later and about 23 months, O/D light was flashing again and had to get a part replaced that was replaced 23 months ago (Almost $500 this time). Sure hope the repair and parts last longer than 23 months this time. No offer of coupons or discount. Only comment was the warranty had expired. I guess I will drive it a lot for the next 90days while under warranty. Just not an ideal resolution to my vehicle problem.Maybe it is just the 2004 Ford Explorer transmission issue and can't be fixed reliable. I see lots of issues with several Ford vehicles around these years online. Well, we are driving again now so stay tune.

Rob and his crew took on a project … Rob and his crew took on a project unusual for them, and have been diligent and fair in completing the work. I'm more than pleased, and would highly commend them. This is an older vehicle, with many modifications, which many shops would turn their noses up at. They've got me back on the road and running! Thanks, guys.

06’ Chrysler 300 (Heating Cord Replacement,Transmisson work and more) I have actually had a few appointments with Cottman,in which I have always left a happy/completely! satisfied customer. Rob, who runs the shop,is beyond professional and has proved to me on several occasions of his trustworthiness, ability to gain control of a seemingly non-fixable situation and dependability. If you want your car taken care of properly and you want to feel secure with the work that has been done. I highly suggest Cottman of Greensboro.
