BE WARNED!!!!! BE WARNED!!!!! Don't book with this website or company. They claim that you can do full refund if you cancel 72 hours prior to travel. I tried contacting them 2 months ahead, emailed around 10 times within the span of 2 months, tried calling all the numbers on the website and "not listed/not in use". Money down the drain... a bunch of crooks!!!! Karma will get what you deserve.

Booked a car through these scammers Booked a car through these scammers. Because of Coronavirus I was unable to travel to Florida so did not need the vehicle. The car was booked with AdVantage Car Rental. Contacted them and explained the situation and they confirmed that I could cancel without any penalty, but would have to reclaim my money from Compareautorental.com. I spent 2 weeks trying to contact them via telephone/email/Facebook messenger to no avail. Stay clear, you have been warned.

STAY AWAY STAY AWAY. I booked a car for 27/12/19 MCO. with free cancellation to 48 pre hire date. Cancelled 72 hours pre hire through medical emergency, NO REFUND AS OF 29 DAYS. All telephone numbers for multiple countries are un answered, no person to contact for refund, Please take my word, and pay a little more to use a direct company or a reputable car hire company. Either this company has changed hands and gone from a company with all 5 star reviews (all pre-2019) or as someone suggested earlier all the good reviews are made up.....this is what I think as there are only replies to the fictitious five star reviews. I had the worst experience ever in hiring a car through auto rentals with whom I only took out basic insurance cover that was supposed to be included as I always arrange my own Annual worldwide comprehensive car hire insurance through Questor. When I arrived at Tel Aviv I was told by Avis their was no basic insurance and I would have to pay for this. I tried contacting AutoRentals but there was no telephone number and no email provided with my confirmation. After arguing with Avis for nearly two hours I gave in and the cost of adding insurance was almost as much as I paid for the car. Avis were no better as they tried to palm me off with the smallest car and when I complained they gave me another bigger car which was dirty and the fuel guage only showed 3/4 full - they said this was because there was a fault with the guage but when I filled up I found this was a lie! On my return I managed to find a contact email address for AutoRentals but up to now they have not replied. I won't be holding my breath.

AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I recently rented through this company while visiting Ireland. The invoice I received said that all basic insurance etc was included and nothing extra would have to be paid on arrival. When I arrived the people at Avis said that this was not the case and was forced to pay an extra €240 for the basic insurance. I contacted them to try and resolve this, they only have an email portal on their site to contact them with. I received an email back a week later asking what the issue was, I explained, then they said they would check with their Avis representative about this. I haven't heard back from them since. I have been in touch with Avis about this and, thankfully, they have been a bit more helpful, but they are still unable to refund me even though they said the mistake lies with compareautorentals.com. Save yourself a lot of hassle and avoid booking with them.
