AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I recently rented through this company while visiting Ireland. The invoice I received said that all basic insurance etc was included and nothing extra would have to be paid on arrival. When I arrived the people at Avis said that this was not the case and was forced to pay an extra €240 for the basic insurance. I contacted them to try and resolve this, they only have an email portal on their site to contact them with. I received an email back a week later asking what the issue was, I explained, then they said they would check with their Avis representative about this. I haven't heard back from them since. I have been in touch with Avis about this and, thankfully, they have been a bit more helpful, but they are still unable to refund me even though they said the mistake lies with compareautorentals.com. Save yourself a lot of hassle and avoid booking with them.

I have used this site 2 times now… I have used this site 2 times now without any issues. I like the fact I can compare all the car rental companies from one site. I will keep using the site and would recommend to others. Tip: it’s about half the price if you purchase the insurance online at the time of booking vs buying insurance when picking up car. Amy

BE WARNED!!!!! BE WARNED!!!!! Don't book with this website or company. They claim that you can do full refund if you cancel 72 hours prior to travel. I tried contacting them 2 months ahead, emailed around 10 times within the span of 2 months, tried calling all the numbers on the website and "not listed/not in use". Money down the drain... a bunch of crooks!!!! Karma will get what you deserve.

Low rates and convenience I have used compareautorentals twice. I don't normally do reviews but I feel they deserve a shoutout. I am the family vacation planner and I lucked into this website one day and within minutes had a reservation for a rental car at a great low rate. I had no issues even when our plans later changed and I had to cancel. No hassle at all. I cancelled and rebooked and at the same time checked out hotel rates and booked one too. Our vacation went super smooth and I intend to use them for all my car rentals and hotels too.
