AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! AVOID THIS COMPANY!!! I recently rented through this company while visiting Ireland. The invoice I received said that all basic insurance etc was included and nothing extra would have to be paid on arrival. When I arrived the people at Avis said that this was not the case and was forced to pay an extra €240 for the basic insurance. I contacted them to try and resolve this, they only have an email portal on their site to contact them with. I received an email back a week later asking what the issue was, I explained, then they said they would check with their Avis representative about this. I haven't heard back from them since. I have been in touch with Avis about this and, thankfully, they have been a bit more helpful, but they are still unable to refund me even though they said the mistake lies with compareautorentals.com. Save yourself a lot of hassle and avoid booking with them.

Beware the small print! Beware the small print! When collecting the car, suddenly found that there where a whole bunch of additional charges from the rental company, all disclaimed by the booking site in the depths of the terms and conditions. Clearly the prices being advertised and confirmed are false and misleading. Will make sure to avoid them in the future.

Either this company has changed hands and gone from a company with all 5 star reviews (all pre-2019) or as someone suggested earlier all the good reviews are made up.....this is what I think as there are only replies to the fictitious five star reviews. I had the worst experience ever in hiring a car through auto rentals with whom I only took out basic insurance cover that was supposed to be included as I always arrange my own Annual worldwide comprehensive car hire insurance through Questor. When I arrived at Tel Aviv I was told by Avis their was no basic insurance and I would have to pay for this. I tried contacting AutoRentals but there was no telephone number and no email provided with my confirmation. After arguing with Avis for nearly two hours I gave in and the cost of adding insurance was almost as much as I paid for the car. Avis were no better as they tried to palm me off with the smallest car and when I complained they gave me another bigger car which was dirty and the fuel guage only showed 3/4 full - they said this was because there was a fault with the guage but when I filled up I found this was a lie! On my return I managed to find a contact email address for AutoRentals but up to now they have not replied. I won't be holding my breath.

Ripped off - avoid completely. I'll spare you my rant and simply say that these people are to be avoided at all costs. Repeat: DO NOT book with them. Shame on Skyscanner.net for including them on their panel.

Excellent deals with this company Simply outstanding product and service. We were able to rent a great vehicle on short notice for 8 weeks for an intern who came in from New York. Price was outstanding, owner made pick up and drop off super simple. I would recommend this car rental service to everyone in New York that needs a reliable vehicle for an extended period of time....wow!!!!
