The first motor was a reman it… The first motor was a reman it developed a knock in the first 10 mins of running the motor, found metal shavings in the oil pan sent the motor back for a exchange, second motor was not a reman but a 50,000 mile motor with a 1yr warranty, installed the motor to only find out number 6 cyclinder was dead. They did not want to replace the motor or refund the money so after 2 motors and 2 installs engine world was a extremely costly experience.

The engine I paid for technically… The engine I paid for technically lasted a year, but it sputtered, stalled, and potentially destroyed the rest of my exhaust system because it was so filthy when they put it in. I was always afraid to drive long distances, and the car never had the performance it once had with the new engine. Engineworld scams you -- you pay quite a bit of money for an engine, which does not include labor costs, for a very minimal warranty. Buyer beware.

Find an Engine Elsewhere What they don't tell you about these low-mileage used engines is that they have no guarantee that they run properly at all! They may come out of cars with less than 60k miles but these engines have been ABUSED. They said they do compression tests and some other "inspections" but really there's no way that's the case for every engine they sell. The first engine I received quickly started burning a ton of oil and overall running like utter garbage, it was undrivable. So, I had to get a replacement engine sent out. The second engine burned slightly less oil, but being without a car so long I just committed to having to put a quart of oil in every week. That was ok to get me by but it still wouldn't pass CA emissions tests. I'm glad I had the help of a mechanic friend and didn't have to pay labor twice to put a piece of junk in my car or I would have been livid. Oh, and they make no effort to compensate you for your time or other expenses when they send a bad engine. I've since gotten rid of the car but would not recommend a "refurbished" or "used" engine from them or anyone for that matter unless they'll show you it's been tested thoroughly.

Don't recommend buying from this company The initial process of ordering, obtaining the new engine, and sending the old engine back was pretty easy. The problems started once the engine was installed. My mechanic tried starting and test driving my truck after installation and found it to have knocking noises coming from the engine. After several attempts at determining what exactly was the problem, my mechanic suggested returning the engine due to a bent rod. I started the process by calling customer service. At first they were very helpful and friendly and gave us more suggestions on how we could try to remedy the issue without returning the engine, which we tried. None of those worked, and I again to ask for a refund. At this point, the customer service rep that I was dealing with started to get very pushy and rude. He did not want to start the refund process. I had him speak with my mechanic, and even after doing that was still rude to me. It took several days and phone calls to get anyone to help me. I did finally get a refund, but I was out a few hundred dollars due to shipping. This was a big ordeal and I would not suggest buying from this company.
