Bald tires on THOUSAND mile plus family trip BEWARE. Rented a Lexus FROM AVIS. Upon return, shown that TIRES were BALD. Wonderful agent concerned that I was given car in bad condition. Informed me he could not rent this car again until tires replaced. I was SHOCKED and SCARED that I put my FAMILY AT RISK on an over THOUSAND MILE roadtrip to Orlando, FL. When I informed AVIS, they,replied,"Sorry, we took a days rental off." $44?! So, if my family were involved in a catastrophic accident due to bald tires would it have been 3 days deducted?! Oh! Then when car was EXCHANGED not returned, I was levied a $90 gas charge though tank was NOT empty and I'd asked the agent BEFORE exchanging. She replied that it was not a problem. WORSE CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE. Thank GOD my family was not harmed. Be warned. I certainly was. STAY AWAY FROM AVIS. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE WORTH MORE THAN $44.

Do not waste your time on this company. Do not waste your time on this company. I prepaid for a rental in Seattle to be picked up at the cruise port, was on the phone pre trip for 45 minutes with a lady that double checked to make sure we would be picked up. When our ship arrived I called the Number to be told they didn't pick up at the port and we would have to take a cab to there location to receive the car. So no I am not paying 50 dollars for a cab to get the car when I can pay 50 to the hotel and use free shuttle. Now having a hard time getting my money refunded they broke the contract not me I have emails stating they will pick up at the port. Do not use this company they do not tell the truth and cost way more money than you think.

I DO have reservations about Avis Ever wonder what the difference is between making a car rental reservation and just walking up to the Avis counter? At Avis, there apparently is NO difference. Avis can (and just did) call you up in mid-flight to tell you that when you land, you won't really have a rental car available. The agent took it to the next level by leaving me a phone number to return her call. The phone number was to Budget Car Rentals. Avis 3401 SW 11th St -Ste 10 Lawton, OK-73501 Long story short, Enterprise Car Rental was able to save the day yet again. I should have gone to Enterprise first but they weren't an option on the American Airlines reservations site.

Total scam is Avis / Budget Total scam is Avis / Budget. Rented a car for 106Euro. Had to pay 179Euro extra for ‘something i signed for’. A windshield protection. They mislead you in signing a vague contract and threaten you with large 3.500 Euro fines for a tiny scratch. DO NOT RENT HERE EVER. This happened at Malaga airport.

Avis outrageous cancelation fee For the first time I paid for a vehicle upfront. Then had to cancel. Cancelled 19 days out from pick up, 3 days after paying. Out of a $296 hire charge Avis charged $82.50 cancellation fee. Now that is a disgusting practice.
