Avis Savannah. Nightmare Avis Savannah 4/3/24. Reserved car…50+ people in line…NO cars line not moving Spent $320.00 on metered taxi to get to a meeting 11/2 hours away. All customer service after much time spent offered a coupon or $50. Not acceptable

Good experience with Avis at Oslo airport Despite some bad reviews, I'd rented an SUV in Avis at the Oslo airport and was completely satisfied. Nice car, good service, no lines, no hidden charges. Everything was great.

Avis doesn't try harder- they try hardly at all Avis doesn't try harder- they try hardly at all! Given a defective car in Miami airport with low tire pressure and leak right out of the airport- the tire alert went off and we had to make an appointment so figured I could deal with this after we arrived. Couldn't get anyone to help me on the phone, tried to replace the car at a local avis place and they literally laughed at me and told me I had to go back to Miami airport (45 min away). Put air in the tire on way to Key West and the tire continued to leak air and returned it a day early to avoid a flat. The car was supposed to have a Nav system (it did not) and satellite radio (it did but no channels subscribed so useless). So called to complain- what did they offer me? A free day (I returned the car a day early already) and would take off of the satellite radio (which I didn't get anyway). Would never rent from them again. If I could give 0 stars I would!

Lost and Stolen, Avis Does not TRY at all On 22 March,2024 I returned a truck that I rented from Miami Airport the week before and exchanged it for a car at Palm Beach international airport, Unknowingly, I left a Ryobi pressure cleaner in the backseat and when I realized this later I filed a lost item report, # 19206369. Over the next week and a half checked with the lost and found at Avis but it never showed up. I checked for two weeks. I called a few times no call would ever go through. On April 4th I drove to the Avis at Palm Beach County airport to speak directly to someone at the counter to see what happened. They had no information. They told me my item was never logged in to lost and found in Avis. Frustrated I spoke to one of the customer service reps, Frank, that accepts cars and removes anything that that might've been left in the car. Frank clearly remembered the truck because it stayed in the same place for a couple of days where I parked it. He remembered seeing the pressure cleaner in it and he had no idea what happened to it, but he remembered clearly that it was in there. He thought maybe somebody had taken the truck home and somebody had taken the pressure cleaner and not turned it in. This constitutes theft. I've spent a lot of time every day checking to see if it's showing up and lost and found, calling and then having to drive all the way up to the airport all because somebody didn't do the job that they were required to do and were stealing my personal possessions. I have since filed a police report on this theft and gave a copy of this to Avis and they have done NOTHING to Try Harder to make things right

Bald tires on THOUSAND mile plus family trip BEWARE. Rented a Lexus FROM AVIS. Upon return, shown that TIRES were BALD. Wonderful agent concerned that I was given car in bad condition. Informed me he could not rent this car again until tires replaced. I was SHOCKED and SCARED that I put my FAMILY AT RISK on an over THOUSAND MILE roadtrip to Orlando, FL. When I informed AVIS, they,replied,"Sorry, we took a days rental off." $44?! So, if my family were involved in a catastrophic accident due to bald tires would it have been 3 days deducted?! Oh! Then when car was EXCHANGED not returned, I was levied a $90 gas charge though tank was NOT empty and I'd asked the agent BEFORE exchanging. She replied that it was not a problem. WORSE CAR RENTAL EXPERIENCE. Thank GOD my family was not harmed. Be warned. I certainly was. STAY AWAY FROM AVIS. YOU AND YOUR FAMILY ARE WORTH MORE THAN $44.
