Easy process, but the quotes don't seem to be accurate The process overall was very simple. Did the quote, someone contacted to schedule pick up, and they showed up. However, I read a lot of reviews saying they did not receive the full amount they were quoted on the website and that happened to me as well. I was transparent about what was wrong with the car and then the person assigned to pick up my vehicle asked further questions, called his boss, and told me they could only offer me a significant amount lower than I was quoted. Personally I was looking for an easy way to get rid of my car so I went ahead with it despite the lower price, but just be wary. If you are looking to get the full amount you deserve for your vehicle, I'd say go elsewhere.

Total time spent to sell and remove car - 1 hour Submitted the details of my old car through the online portal, accepted the offer. Total time about 15 minutes. Because it was a Sunday I didn't call to schedule the pickup and before I could, they called me and were here in less than 35 minutes. Total time on the entire transaction was about an hour. Took me longer to grab the title, keys and ID so they could pay me and haul it away.

check made out to wrong person... removal of the car went fine-payment took two weeks to be delivered (not the fault of SMCO) but the check was made out in my mothers name, who had held the title before I bought the car from her in 2016. She's not exactly trustworthy so I'm simply never seeing that money again. kicking myself but for all the time I waited and calling twice, I wish someone had asked who on earth the check should even be made out to.
