Don't do business with Allcars Allcars gave me an amazing offer over the phone prior to the vehicle inspection. The inspection occurred a couple of days later, and the assessor provided no feedback to me at that time. When I finally received his report, he claimed that my vehicle had an oil leak (not true) and a check engine light on (also not true). The final offer was thousands of dollars less than the initial offer. You would think that he would have discussed those "major" issues with me during his inspection, but he didn't since there were no major issues. These deceptive practices need to stop.

On Dec 6 the Allcars rep called me and confirmed that the vehicle was in great condition. However “the market had changed” for my vehicle and they could only offer $63,000. Really? The market on the car dropped $6,475 in 11 days? I could believe some drop but almost a 10% drop, hard to believe. They shouldn’t make offers they can’t keep on cars that pass appraiser inspection. They took up my time and other opportunities and didn’t live up to their end. Untrustworthy.

They tried to cheat me I contacted AllCars online about selling my 4 year old Mazda CX3 with low mileage. Jim made an initial tentative offer of $17,200, subject to inspection. I offered to have a local repair shop do an inspection, but Jim said that he would send someone from NY to do it instead. That should have been a warning, but I thought Jim was doing me a favor. The AllCars inspector came out and said that he felt my car had been in a major accident: that the front passenger door looked repainted and puttied, albeit expertly. This is not true. The car is almost new and has never been in an accident. I bought the car one year ago from a Mazda dealer. It was a certified used car and I have the CarFax report and updates. I told the inspector and Jim that there had never been accident. Despite this, Jim lowered his offer by almost $4,000. Of course I declined. I feel like Jim and AllCars tried to cheat me by inventing a reason to low-ball me. They are dishonest.

Easy to work with Easy to work with. Jim is a great guy. Process took about 2 weeks. We had some hiccups with my bank placing a hold on the check. My only recommendation is to offer clients a wire transfer option, certified check, or an online funding option which Jim did mention they were working on. My bank placing the hold was not AllCars fault, but did delay the process a bit unnecessarily.

Prompt and painless It's hard to believe that the experience of selling my car was so painless. Jim explained all the steps involved and answered all my questions promptly. His final offer was better than all the other potential buyers. The dealer offered me $6,000 for a trade-in. All cars paid me $9,500. Two other potential buyers were somewhere in between. The check arrived overnight and the car was picked up the next day!
