GBThe only positive thing about my… The only positive thing about my experience was they guy driving the pick up truck, he was lovely, other than that the communication from the staff here is insane. They aren’t interested when you ring with a query at all.

GBBEWARE! Coparts assume cars belong to them before asking the owner! When Coparts came to collect my husband's car after an accident, he left a brand new front panel inside, which he had bought to repair the car from a previous accident. He showed it to the person collecting the car, and he acknowledged its presence on the back seat. My husband had intended to see whether he could pay for the part to be fitted while the other bodywork was being carried out. Unfortunately, his car was 'written off' (seriously - the damage was no more than a deep scratch!) My husband insisted he wanted his car back and purchased it as 'salvage.' When it was returned, the brand new panel which was on the back seat, had gone. Also, the button in one of the headrests had been dug out. And Coparts mysteriously has no clue where they are! This is criminal - it's out and out theft.

GBExcellent experience of buying a cat n… Excellent experience of buying a cat n car with next to no damage. Made some small repairs and all sorted. Looks great on the driveway and drives well. Easy to collect ourselves and car promptly brought to us on arrival. Saved a lot of money. Also had written off car collected by copart before and all went well too.

GBI had a good experience with Copart… I had a good experience with Copart however I can see how others wouldnt. If possible I'd advise not to let Copart take your vehicle until you fully understand the process and your options. In my case I decided to retain the vehicle and Copart were able to assess my car without taking it away (by sending images online). After receiving a fair settlement for my written off car I then paid the retention fee to Copart so I could keep my car as it was only minor damage. The retention fee wasn't much compared to what I received from the settlement which meant I received more than enough money to get my car repaired. It seems like most of the bad reviews are from people who let Copart take their vehicle.
