STAY AWAY STAY AWAY! SCAM ALERT! I made a reservation for a car that was TWO WEEKS AWAY. Things changed so I attempted to modify the reservation. There was no option for me to modify so I canceled and rebooked with the SAME company, carrentals.com. I realized they charged me $50, which was confusing because I did not see a cancellation fee mentioned upon booking. I called to get the $50 waived because I REBOOKED which the correct dates. They kept saying that they couldn't and that "its in the policy" even though the original reservation was TWO weeks away and I made another reservation with them. So now, I chose not use them AT ALL. With any emergency or changes, you cannot modify the reservation. PLEASE CHOOSE ANOTHER COMPANY. They have bad policies. Very predatory SCAMMERS.

It repeatedly reminds users to purchase LDW, which is often covered by insurance/credit card and consumer advocates dislike. Then, if you Cancel the coverage, sneaky CR.con CANCELS the ENTIRE RESERVATION without option. BAD! also, does not specify if an SUV actually has AWD or FWD. HELLO? SNOW? Pull the wool over our eyes. I have been using CR.com a long time and Do Not Like!!

Didn't advise of their partners requirement prior to booking Didn't advise of their partners requirement - a physical plastic credit card - so when we went to pick up car from SixT they wouldn't accept a credit card on a phone and refused to provide car. We were then left to cancel the booking with RentalCar.com (which had been made 90 minutes earlier) and they refused to provide a refund.
