GBForced to buy insurance Company states they provide full coverage insurance for the car rental. When I went to pick up car, the agent stated that the provided insurance was worthless and that I was required to purchase their insurance. This added over $200 to the rental. They stated that I was not allowed to take the car unless I purchased their insurance. Took someone 3 months to respond to my issue and then stated that the agency was correct. Why would anyone buy more insurance if full coverage was already provided???? No one can answer that question, avoid them at all cost.

GBFlexways ... No Way! We went through Priceline to get my daughter and her new husband airline tickets and the car rental bundle, for their Honeymoon in Orlando. We were not informed of any deposit needed at check in but my daughter was not surprised when they needed one. This is not her first car rental. What was shocking was the amount they demanded. First they said $700, which quickly became $1000 for the incidental deposit. When they didn't have a credit card with $1000 on it, they wouldn't let them split it on two cards. They were very disrespectful and rude to my daughter and her husband. They are not kids, they are in their 30's, have full coverage on their own vehicles and have perfect driving records. She contacted me to cancel that car with Flexways because they were able to find the same type of car for less money at another rental car company. Beware, if booking through Priceline, check the name of the rental car company. Flexways is the worst I've seen in my 40+ years of driving and renting cars!

Very disrespectful people in front desk ended up not even picking up cars

GBBuyer Be Ware I discovered that Flexways, like other rental car companies in Costa Rica, have lots of expensive hidden insurance fees and other potential expenses when you book online before you arrive in country. The price I paid in advance had many more add-on costs when I arrived and I ended up paying much more for the vehicle. But they have you under a barrel. And to rub salt in that wound I ended up having to pay for a full tank of gas when I returned the car even though I had just filled up and had the receipt to prove it! They claimed it was not completely full. That was a complete scam. Because of heavy traffic, I decided to pay rather than get back on the road to go back to the service station I had left 5 minutes before turning in the car. I was in livid! The bottom line is make sure you understand all the fees they will charge you before you reserve and commit. You will likely be better off renting from one of the big names than a local Costa Rican company.
