GBRip off toll charges, poor admin The only reason they get one star is that the car was fairly new. On arrival at Miami airport no one at the shuttlebus to take us to the car collection centre. I had to call an international number which Incurred additional cost to my mobile contract. They said they had no record of my booking. 3 phone calls later they found it. The toll policy is scandalous and completely out of proportion to the toll costs and their probable admin fees. I feel like they are taking advantage… $20 bucks a day for 10 days (or $25 per toll admin fee) - we only went through tolls on 2 of the days we had the car. Total toll cost was probably $15-20 and we had to pay $200 in admin fees 3 days after arrival I started receiving messages saying they were expecting me to collect my car despite me already having it. At the end of the trip their customer services told me to email them to resolve the high toll charges. I was then ignored despite emailing them a couple of times Won’t be using again

GBHorrible Respect your time don’t waste your time and money even pay more stick with airport rentals. Horrible no shuttle to pick you up, no phone number someone answers and you go front desk feel like people all came from jungle and talk to you like you owe them. Very disrespectful people in front desk ended up not even picking up cars

GBBuyer Be Ware I discovered that Flexways, like other rental car companies in Costa Rica, have lots of expensive hidden insurance fees and other potential expenses when you book online before you arrive in country. The price I paid in advance had many more add-on costs when I arrived and I ended up paying much more for the vehicle. But they have you under a barrel. And to rub salt in that wound I ended up having to pay for a full tank of gas when I returned the car even though I had just filled up and had the receipt to prove it! They claimed it was not completely full. That was a complete scam. Because of heavy traffic, I decided to pay rather than get back on the road to go back to the service station I had left 5 minutes before turning in the car. I was in livid! The bottom line is make sure you understand all the fees they will charge you before you reserve and commit. You will likely be better off renting from one of the big names than a local Costa Rican company.

GBI always have a positive experience… I always have a positive experience with Flexways. I have a chaotic government job, so the last thing I need is to get bogged down when it comes to rental vehicles. I usually need something with a large cargo capacity when moving our product up through Colombia into Miami, and my guys never have an issue. Flexways gets us into the vehicles we need.
