GBScam Alert SCAM ALERT. Book ACE thru booking.com 2 months out. They wouldn’t let me prepay. Thought that was odd. So 3 days prior to my arrival. I called them direct and they said oh just pay at the counter. I’ve rented cars over a 100 times between business and pleasure and agin though that was odd. BOY WAS I RIGHT. I got to thre counter an hr late due to a flight delay and they said I wa late and my car rental went from 220 to 580. As I was at the counter the other agent to another customer was saying the same script. IT WAS THE ILD BAIT AND SWITCH ON PRICING. Agent had the audacity to say you should have prepaid. When I told him I tried twice he shut up and didn’t have an answer. When booking.con sent me a survey on my experience. I told them what happened and crickets after. Don’t believe any positive experience’s they are fake as this so called company is. Stick to the name brands. ACE IS A SCAM!’

GBThe Ace Rent a Car, 1241 Airline Drive, Kenner, LA The Ace Rent a Car location in Kenner LA conned me out of $250 because I returned my car after business hours. I returned it with a Full tank of gas and cleaner than when I picked it up, to the exact spot I got it from. But because I had to leave it when the office was closed they charged me a $250 "Abandonment fee" This fee was not mentioned in the copy of the rental agreement they gave me, but was stated in a secondary pieces paper they rushed past me for signature. Although, Technically, they had the legal right based on the wording concerning return of vehicle after hours, morally this was reprehensible. The vehicle was anything but abandoned. This is just an unscrupulous money grab from a very shady company.

CYTheir broker carjet are so appalling… I've changed my review about Ace cars as they explained about jetcars being a broker and really are not responsible for jetcars performance. They suggested and rightly so that I call Ace cars direct which I will. Thank you for your response I have nothing negative to say about Ace cars now

GBthis is A SCAM SUCH A SCAM - PLEASE AVOID!!!!!! I booked a car for my family for 10 days and pre-paid half of the price of the rental + insurance online through Kayak. They first advertised it for $270 total. However, when my family was there to pick up the car, they charged us $700. They forced us to pay and did not even explain why the insurance costs $50/day. I tried calling them and they just hung up on me while I was talking. Really rude and worst experience ever. I am going to report this to the consumer protection office.

GBYou call this customer service? I called 7 hours prior to arrival at ramp to advise that my scheduled flight which was to arrive at 7 was pushed back to 10. The agent did not inform me that they close at 10. I showed at 11:15 and no was there. All other counters were open. Took an Uber to the hotel. Call the desk at 7 am and they say my reservation was cancelled and that I should have looked at the website for closing times?!?! I was then told my reservation was cancelled and I could only rebook through the web. I rebooked at an expense of over 2 times the original price with another carrier. also had to Uber back to the airport. I write an email explaining the situation and did NOT ask for any compensation. Their reply? You should have checked the website and reservations are cancelled when the office closes. Never again
