Gas prices are posted without having to prove you are anywhere near the gas station. Gasbuddy keeps getting worse over time. They award points to people for posting prices. In order to earn points a lot of posters just post whatever price someone else posts. A lot of the time the prices are very far from the real price. Their disclaimer that they are crowdsourced which could be a valid excuse for all the wrong prices being reported; however, this could be avoided by only allowing the prices to be reported on the app. When a person earns points on the app they have to be within a half mile in order to earn points. When they post on the web I'm not sure how far away they are. If points are only awarded when posting on the app I think you would see a huge improvement in reports of gas prices.

USERS BEWARE OF SECURITY ISSUES WITH GAS BUDDY! In Oregon it has been illegal for a customer to pump their own gas until this year, 2024. In 2023 it was not allowed, so every purchase would require handing your Gas Buddy Driver Card, along with the Driver Number to a station attendant. In doing so, my GB Card info was stolen along with the Driver Number. This resulted in several unauthorized charges to my linked bank card for fuel fill-ups done by someone who is probably a station attendant and who scanned my card to use for their own fuel purchases. I reported these unauthorized fuel purchases, at locations I have never been to, and the response I got from Gas Buddy was to blame me for showing/sharing my GB Card info, even though the ONLY way to use it in Oregon is to provide it to an attendant!!! Gas Buddy is refusing to reimburse me for these unauthorized fuel purchases. When I went online to my GB account to remove my linked bank card, there is no method to do this!?! You can only replace a bank card, not delete it! As a result, my bank card info is still associated with my GB account! Yet they refuse to assume any responsibility for the stolen information and for the unauthorized purchases. 5 total fuel purchases in November alone! I RECOMMEND THAT ALL OF YOU THINK VERY CAREFULLY ABOUT USING GAS BUDDY - THEIR SYSTEM SECURITY IS NOT AS GOOD AS THEY WANT YOU TO THINK IT IS, AND THEIR WILLINGNESS TO RESOLVE A SECURITY BREACH ALLOWING THE STOLEN GB CARD INFO IS NON-EXISTENT!

The worst Seems like my account is not working now. I have done everything you asked. Now if you could fix this it would be greatly appreciated. I am a Regional manager for a pharmaceutical company. My company has thousands of GasBuddy accounts. If mine can't get be fixed I am going to have the company discontinue all GasBuddy accounts losing your company hundreds of thousands of dollars. Silly that you would want this instead of fixing an account which had been with you for years. Simply because one of your employees bullied my nephew who is autistic. I will make sure many people hear about this. They employ immature people like Cady and Nychole who like bullying people. Absolutely the worst company. Simply find another company is my advice.

GasBuddy is wildly inacurate and suspicious at best Regular unleaded at my neighborhood Alon was reported by GasBuddy to be $3.09/gallon based on a user submission 17 hours ago. In reality it's $3.499 and the staff say it's been that price all week. GasBuddy claims to be "crowdsourced" but based on all the complaints about wildly inaccurate prices that can't be true. The "login" system seems to be no more than your username and a system generated nickname that it gives you the option to change it but the new nickname instantly reverts to the system generated one. Overall GasBuddy feels more like "clickbait" for advertising revenue than an actual gas price finder. AVOID and DO NOT TRUST.

Signed up a month ago. Still no card Put in for a GasBuddy card in June. It got shipped (supposedly). It is now almost a month and still no card. Customer Support still emails me reminders to activate and take advantage of the savings, but can’t seem to mail the card so it gets delivered. Good thing I went with the free membership. Customer Support bots tend to respond more often than an actual human. Honestly at this point I’m just going to consider deleting my account. Waste of my time waiting for a savings card and dealing with incompetent customer service.
