Baselane is not a viable option for commercial landlords Baselane is below average for rent collection and clears payments at the speed of 1980. I have had some payments take 7 days to clear, plus an additional day to actually show up in my checking account! The service I was using prior to Baselane was clearing rent payments in 3 days maximum, most of the time in 1-2 days. I will be returning to the prior service. The banking is a bit of a scam; they hook you with a high APY only to lower it below industry standards a month later. They also have very low deposit maximums - $5k. You have to ask for an override to make deposits above this amount....very inconvenient.

Dishonest, fraudulent, and useless Baselane refused to honor the terms and conditions of their own welcome bonus promotion I qualified and met the criteria for, and then when I contacted customer service asking for the bonus I was owed and detailing with screenshots and timelines they denied having the bonus up on their website, blaming a 'cache' issue, despite my time-stamped screenshots of the promotion being live on their website. They then got my account confused with another account, and shared private account information and screenshots with me from someone else's account (!) including transactions and acct numbers. Unbelievable. I told them that was unacceptable to not honor their own bonus and they replied that it was unfortunate that I was "wasting their time" with my inquiry. Take your money elsewhere. Updated to add: the "facts" they responded with are inaccurate and I have proof from the fine print of their website on 12/22/23 that that is the case. Their attempt to preserve their reputation through accusing customers of gaming the promotion they rightfully qualified for and met the criteria for is unfortunate, especially for an institution that claims to be customer-centric. They made no attempt to resolve the situation with integrity.

Your personal customer service is the… Your personal customer service is the best in taking care of my tenants problems. Rental payment system that great. Considering several of my tenants have very little knowledge of paying online. Baselane in there to help. I highly recommend!

Fintech for Landlords I inherited 3 rental units and was in the market for a new and modern banking solution. I’ve been using Baselane for a couple of months now. It was simple to set up and get started. I have tenants using it to pay rent via ACH but credit cards is also an option. I can categorize expenses easily and overall it feels like it has enough accounting features that I don’t expect to need another app for bookkeeping.
