The question was unusual and was misunderstood the first couple of times, so I had to re-ask differently to finally get the exact information I was looking for. But, this could have been my fault. I just assume I'm perfect. The important thing is there was a dialog, with really wonderfully quick responses, and so eventually I got the answer. Digital Ocean support cares. They want to resolve the issues without frustrating the customer. So they work hard at it, and this is what is so important to me!

It was entirely about CSF and iptables, not droplet related at all. Their responses were insightful and timely. They asked me to clarify a few things. Then they told me exactly what I asked for, in detail. They also suggested a novice Linux administrator might find the Web Based GUI network firewall offering that runs outside the droplet a better approach. Not only is it perfect for my needs, it is FREE!
