GBid.me. reached out and fixed the issue with my original account it did take some days but I do appreciate the help !!! I have tried to access an old account that had MFA active and an old phone number I no longer have. I tried to recover it but it was suspended. I have gotten as far as scheduling an interview all documents entered and approved and then was suspended. I dont know what to do to. Was happy to do a video interview to resolve any questions. Still spinning my wheels this is not fun (

GBLove this site/service Love this site/service! As a veteran, it's great being pre-verified so I don't have to dig out my DD-214 to register on other sites!

GBAll good after a rough start Update: Once a tech contacted me (it took a few days; busy tax time) my account issues were straightened out easily. The main problem? I had set up an account a year ago which I never used and forgot about; then set up another account which can’t be done and somehow I managed to get myself locked out of my original account. Had it not been for the AT&T breach of my SSN I would not have been so concerned. All good now. It would have helped if there had been a more prominent warning about duplicate accounts, I think. Original post: A nightmare. I am trying to access my IRS account (the old system worked perfectly). In the course of setting up an id.me account, I discovered that an email address I was using had been compromised. So, I "removed" that account and set up a new account. BIG MISTAKE. I now cannot access either account, cannot merge the accounts and cannot get an answer on how to fix this problem. I do not recall there being a warning not to do this. So, to find out if my estimated tax payment was received by the IRS I have to go to an IRS office and schedule an appointment. No answer from customer service which is only accessed through a virtual agent named Roy. Effectively, I am now locked out of my IRS account except for in-person visits to the closest office.

GBChallenges with Identity Verification for Non-US Citizens I recently navigated the ID.me verification process as a non-US citizen without an SSN or ITIN, encountering significant hurdles. Despite reaching out to ID.me support, I faced delays and confusion, especially with the Trusted Referee Video Session requiring documents I didn't have. This experience revealed a gap in accommodating international users within ID.me's system. However, once I obtained my SSN card, the process became straightforward, completing the Trusted Referee Video Session swiftly in 15 minutes. While ID.me serves a vital purpose, my journey underscores the need for a more inclusive and supportive approach for users worldwide.
