NLImpossible to create account Created an account, email address was verified, but I could not login. Password has been reset several times, no result. Sent an email to Support, no answer. Chatting is impossible, because you need to login first. Finding an answer on the website is not possible, because you have to login. Assistance by phone directs you to a support.home.sophos.com, where you have to login to find answers. I give up and find another company that cares about new customers.

GBVirus removal tool saved my computer in minutes! I don't know about the company itself and probably no antivirus will be affective enough against the growing sins of the generation, but for me, it was a miracle I downloaded at some point their virus removal tool (free) - which I was 'going to put onto a stick for just in case' but didn't manage to. One day, I 'forgot' about all the germs that come down with the presents (downloads) and skipped the extra scanning (usually VirusTotal) and suddenly found myself with a non responding computer! I tried Microsoft virus remover tool (it wouldn't even allow me to open start / settings to use my regular antivirus!) but after 15 hours it was up to nowhere. Then I tried Sophos and could not believe my fortune when after maybe 10 minutes it had found (at least the main) virus, removed it and gave me a button to reboot (remember I couldn't open my start to do that myself!). It restarted completely back up and running like nothing would've happened! Thank you Sophos!

PTPaid for the premium service, got the trial instead. Paid for the premium service, never got to use any premium features. After paying and activating premium the software continues to countdown the trial days until expiration. Contacted support, they sent me a non https:// link with instructions to click and download an .exe file so they can enter my system remotely to have a look on what's going on... I'm sorry, what?! Still didn't got any refund by the way. Avoid Sophos. Waste of time.

MTFrom Well Respected Leader to another corporate pusher (seller) Their home offering was good, but the recent changes have made it into golden wrapped crap. Official updates for Java development (oracle), The Document foundations Libreoffice.org, Apache foundations apps and much more OFFICIAL app installers and updates are blocked by thier AI, and Exploit mitigation, the program is so highly sensitive that its changed my mind from renewing and submitting samples to literally wanting to uninstall it as soon as my paid period is up. An AV should not INTERFERE with Daily operations!, an AV should have some LOCALIZED control in its agent not having to continuously connect to the cloud to apply a rule, why not make the agent sync with the cloud? Why is support not usefull but a bunch of wasted time? why can't i control my account not to auto-renew? without having to go to third-party billing partners? why has sophos went with the american (greed) profits model and quality has gone to the dogs? what happened to the Brits model of providing a decent offering?
