Poor customer service Due to a change in circumstances, I've not been using CodeAnywhere. They send no notification that the renewal is approaching (unlike more professional companies, some that give multiple warns 3 months in advance). I contacted them as soon as I realised they'd renewed. They cancelled the renewal and the service I'd just been charged for, but now refuse to issue a refund! So now I'm in a situation where I don't have the service they collected the renewal for - they've effectively just stolen the money from me! [further to posting this, CodeAnywhere decided that they could make the refund after all! So if you experience the same problem, don't give up - maybe draw attention to the issue and maybe they'll stop bullying customers]

CodeAnywhere is my favorite #1 IDE Hello. I’ve been using CodeAnywhere since December 7, 2017 (before that I was using Visual Studio). The flexibility of having our web servers connected to CodeAnywhere via SSH, plus the many times I had to do a last minute changes in a project source code (sometimes on my iPhone App), it’s very important for me. I’ve seen first hand all their improvements over the years and today CodeAnywhere is my favorite #1 IDE, period. I recently started to code, build, run, deploy and collaborate on Dockerfile projects instantly, from a web browser, on this based Cloud IDE, it’s been working really well for me and our team. I (Alex) started using CodeAnywhere, now Valeria (our Frontend) and even our CEO (Nolan) is using now. The only thing I miss is an iPad app, which I know it’s not an easy task but if I can use your Iphone app in a small screen, I’m looking forward to seeing on iPad or even an Android tablet. Useful Isolated Containers Containers in Codeanywhere provide for an isolated development environment where I could access across devices. The service is seamless and I can code even on my Chromebook. A new editor based on Theia IDE has been launched and it is compatible with Visual Studio Code. The support team was prompt in responding to my queries and resolving the issues faced.

Horrible customer support! I am a previous, numerous year subscriber to Codeanywhere but cancelled a couple years back due to company restrictions. I attempted to resubscribe using their in-house credit card form but the system declined my payment 4 seperate times over the course of a couple hours. I then used PayPal payment option and it worked perfectly. The next day I notice I was billed all 4 attempts to my credit card, even though the Codeanywhere control panel said it was declined and didn't activate my account. I reached out to their support staff explaining the problem and requesting the refund then literally got the response, "You're account is activated whats the problem?". I explained everything 1 more time in my response and have not received a reply in 10+ days. I now have to open a chargeback and dispute all 4 transactions because of this company's lack of support and functionality. Additionally they lost me as a subscriber. I would suggest avoiding Codeanywhere as Atom IDE with the Remote Editor plugin is completely free and also works very well.

Fairly long-time user of CodeAnywhere I have been using CodeAnywhere for a number of years, and I have always been very pleased with it's convenience and stability. I maintain a website with several custom PHP scripts, and I have always relied on CodeAnywhere to be able to edit or fix my scripts regardless of where I am - even if I have to do it on the CodeAnywere app on my phone! It's also is very useful as a test environment and as a platform to lean a new language. I highly recommend it!
