Company advertises its tool suite as… Company advertises its tool suite as security-centric, but most downloads (of citrix workspace for instance) trigger security alerts because they do not follow modern web and application best practices. There is a Microsoft Store version which does not trigger alerts, but for some reason it is a very heavy client application, and it's not exactly well referenced. All in all this just does not inspire trust for all the security promises.

Citrix Support is the worst experience I've had in I have always had difficulties receiving support from this company but today was ridiculous. I called this number beginning at 11:59am PH (954) 267-3000 It's 12:45 and I still have not spoken to anyone or been directed to receive help. I selected Finance payables and receivables no answer with a message asking me to call back later. I call customer service and I'm directed back to finance payables and receivables. I try the online chat and they send me to a portal where the data has not been updated since 2019. NOTE: They have excellent products it's just their customer service is HORRIBLE. There is no one to contact. There chat bots are NOT helpful AT ALL!

Citrix is not to be trusted While working for MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, I received an email from the Senior VP, Alan Nevel, that read in part, 'As a precautionary measure given the COVID-19 situation, MetroHealth's leadership is assessing possible work-from-home arrangements and which employees may be eligible. For this analysis, our IS department is surveying employees to better understand their at-home electronic equipment and capabilities, so we ask that you respond as soon as possible'. I clicked on the link that was provided in that email. I responded to each question that asked for the details of my personal laptop computer name and operating system. It, obviously, passed the screening test because soon after, my manager told me I could use my personal computer to work from home (as nearly everyone else in my department was already working from home and others were using their personal laptops, as well). I was provided specific instructions for downloading MetroHealth's program, Citrix Receiver, on my personal laptop. The instructions included the following suggestion, 'If you need help please contact the IS service desk. 216-957-3280'. While I was successful with installing Citrix Receiver, it made my screen a blurry green and the icons were fuzzy. Before I had downloaded this program, my computer worked perfectly fine. I had no problems with it. I also had multiple documents and hundreds of pictures stored on my device. Weeks later, my laptop screen became a bright green and the icons were no longer visible. I researched online about this problem and it was discovered to be a known problem with downloading Citrix Receiver. That program hijacked my operating system and, unless I was a Citrix Administrator, I could no longer access anything on my computer! My computer is of no use now and is destroyed from that download. Although MetroHealth advised to contact our company's help desk with any issues, the help desk refused to help. The company execs all told me 'We don't work on personal laptops'. These are two very deceitful companies and I want to make it known. How dare Citrix have the capability to hijack someone's operating system! I cannot access any of my files or documents anymore! When I called Citrix the first time, an operator answered with 'Alo? Alo? Anybody there? Nobody there, I hang up now'. Really? I called back a second time and sat on hold for 10 minutes only to be disconnected again! And, their website advises that you can't create a ticket unless you're an administrator! Well, they've already taken over my system, so I guess I can't get help! And, fortunately, I found a much better job and put in my two week notice at MetroHealth, who still refuses to do anything! Don't work for these shady companies!!!

Customer support is poor and slow to… Customer support is poor and slow to respond. We have had multiple vendors unable to download files from the Citrix ShareFile web system. It is almost useless. Although 2 support techs personally agreed that they observed the problem, along with ourselves and 2 of our offsite vendors -- Citrix keeps asking for more. Then, when they finally state we have observed the problem, never give status updates or workarounds. Still waiting for the fix and the status.

Citrix is horrible Citrix is horrible. If you want consent problems and complaints even after following their best practices then go ahead and setup Citrix. It often will not allow users to log in because of some weird disconnect issue and IT has to go in, find the session without any username associated to it and kill the session on one of the citrix app servers. Just another layer of things that can go wrong. Citrix support has looked at it and can not fix.
