Bait and switch I guess I will find something else to do. Unless you have degrees and certificates in everything I say skip. The tasks that I signup for shouldn't even need certificate for.

The same thing happened to me Appen USA… The same thing happened to me Appen USA the hiring manager interviewed via Skype said they supply an iMacPro desktop and said that need to pay for the software the gets installed, pay for the shipping, and then customs wanted more money. I never recieved the computer, was told that it got damaged during shipping and they actually wanted me to pay for another. I bitched a lot. Never got resolved and never got my money back either. I screenshot all text messages & saved any email communications, and the phone # goes to a automated answering device and never called back.

Company going bankrupt Didn't even get to the point of being able to do any work for them. Applied for 20+ projects, all just sitting at the next stage and not been accepted yet still getting emails to ask me to apply for them... Seems as though Appen is going under, would explain why people aren't being paid and why people aren't being accepted for projects.

Awful First Time Experience I recently tried to apply for a Ads Quality Rater job through Appen and had trouble accessing my application after signing up. When I tried to complete other tasks, I was told to remove my VPN which I don't have installed on my computer. I then tried to contact customer support for help, yet today I was given a "Access Denied" message and can no longer access my dashboard, but I continue to see email updates. I do not recommend signing up to this company, find work elsewhere.

Spam from Appen on Job listings I have not tried Appen, but they are spamming job listings (2022). Users are paid for referrals, which explains why they post so many ads. They earn money if you sign up through their referral link... Unfortunately this is causing too much spam wasting others' time.
