About Ship Sticks

At Ship Sticks, our mission is to make golf travel simpler, easier, and more affordable. In 2019 alone, U.S. airlines collected $5.76 billion dollars in baggage fees, up 18% from 2018. As airlines find ways to gradually increase pricing for carry-on and checked bags, your once reasonably priced ticket is nearing double the value initially paid. Our goal is to provide golfers with a hassle-free alternative to lugging their clubs to and from the airport – so as to improve the golf travel experience, increase the number of rounds played annually, and grow the game.

Ship Sticks was great, FedEx bad Ship Sticks was great. Website easy to use and a fair price. The carrier (FedEx) was horrendous. They picked up the package at the end of the day scheduled. No problem with the shipping label then. When the package arrived in Orlando (the first stop) I was told the label had been damaged and had to be replaced. I heard nothing from for 3-4 days. Finally, it was "On its way". The package was actually on time if not a little early to the final destination but FedEx tracking is pathetic.

My experience was not only better than I predicted it was better shipstix predicted My experience was not only better than I predicted but the problem was it was better than shipstix predicted. I sent my clubs out from Scottsdale on Tuesday expected as predicted they would arrive Tuesday 4/30 by ground.. so I received an email on Saturday 4/27 that it was delivered.. as it turned out that was not a big issue as I arrived 4/27 in evening..

Fast delivery It went like clockwork, I would use golf sticks again. They picked my clubs up in Palm Springs after 4 pm on Thursday, April 25th and they were delivered to my home in Tacoma, WA on Sunday the 28th, weren’t suppose to be there until May 1st, which could of been a problem if I wasn’t able to get my nephew to go to my house and put them in my garage.. so I guess the service was too good, the delivery date should of been more accurate.

Very please……but you actually delivered… Very please……but you actually delivered clubs both ways “before” the date promised. That was fine for me, but, what if person on other end wasn’t expecting earlier delivery? Maybe they would be gone etc. until the promised date they were told to expect shipment. It would be good if they say delivery would be promised by a certain date ( but also could be a certain number of days earlier.)

Drop off When I prepared the shipping document it was not readily apparent that dropping the clubs at a non-FedEx store did not qualify for the reduced rate. I dropped them at the Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, which I imagine does a substantial business with Ship Stix. Also, FedEx has closed its office on Hilton Head which would necessitate taking the shipment to Pooler GA, 35 miles away. I would urge that Ship Stix review this policy to make it more customer-friendly.
