GBMild incompetence. It often seems like there is no real system in place for dealing with anything but the most typical scenarios. Any time anyone has to change a unit size, get second unit, alter a billing method, the first point of contact never completely understands what needs to be done and or how to do it. and always acts like it is the customers fault and/or managements.

GBGood, but caveat for online payment users I chose KSS in Manhattan because they are close to where I live, which is convenient and worth the extra cost of a Manhattan storage facility. The staff is usually very helpful and nice. I have used them for a few years. The main issue I've had is with the two occasions I've rented temporary second units for handling estate items I need to store before shipping them out. The system KSS uses for online payments does not automatically link multiple or additional units to existing accounts. This has meant phone calls/visits and resulted in one late fee since I was traveling and could not resolve the issue before a payment deadline. I don't think this is a common issue, but if you are purchasing a second unit make sure the new one is linked or you will have to call or come in. The facility also gets very hot during the summers, so avoid storing items that are susceptible to heat. Security is no more or less than most other places.
