This company has the worst service of any company I have dealt with for years. When offering customer service, they are not genuine. Customer service staff does a good job of remaining polite and conciliatory, even when faced with you angry. They have no problem with delivering the containers but plan on a lot of excuses and delays getting them. The truck broke down, the driver called in sick, the forklift broke to start. Then when you need it picked up they use All City Moving in Hayward. They are the worst of the worst, they promise pickup, schedule you wait all day no respect of a call. Then when you call you to find out you are rescheduled weeks out. If you want quality service STAY AWAY. I AM GETTING HOW FINES TAKEN 2 DAYS OFF WORK. SMARTBOX AND ALL CITY MOVING DOES NOT CARE. EVEN THE UPPER MANAGEMENT BLOWS YOU OFF.

Right campus, wrong buiding They did not deliver our college daughter's box to here dorm. Since they delivered to some dorm on the same campus, they claimed they met service. They also had no information available on the delivery day to indicate this misdelivery. They asked a few questions about lot numbers and addresses on campus but never replied to BBB inquiries (they are a failure on BBB also). So, if you like a scavenger hunt to find your box, and still feel good about paying full boat, this may work for you

Not what i expected The concept is great. But. The driver who dropped off my boxes gouged huge scars in my driveway by dragging the boxes into place instead of picking up and moving them with the forklift. And he didn't check to make sure the hardware would actually close and lock. So after a 14-hour day of moving, I had to leave the boxes unsecured on a Friday night because everything was an inch and a half off. To their credit, two guys came out the next morning to move the hardware so I could lock the boxes. They took photos of the damage to my driveway, but I've never heard back about repairs, a discount, nuttin'. The boxes are locally made, and the Dallas franchise is relatively new. I'm betting they'll get better and building and handling them. Make sure the boxes actually close and lock correctly before you let the delivery guy drive away.

No support I have called several times to have someone acknowledge the holes that were in the side of the box that were left open where screws once were. During the rainy weather I had to buy bolts and nuts from a hardware store to plug the holes to keep my belongings from getting wet. I still haven't heard back from Smart box and the box was dropped of at the end of last month.

Smooth sales process yet awful delivery experience I am undertaking a long distance move. The sales process was very smooth -- but the box delivery was a nightmare and has left me skeptical about the rest of the move working out smoothly. I needed the labor support of the Boston area partner - they showed up four hours later than originally quoted, and the two men looked less than reliable for providing the labor. One barely moved anything; he was on the phone for a portion of the time and fiddled around with breaking a lock off of one of the Smartboxes. Another of the Smartboxes still contained items, so I couldn't use it, and it was going to take them another 2 hours or so to get me a replacement. Smartbox better find another contractor.
