GBThe promise of having a professional… The promise of having a professional “stairmaster” capable of handing the circular shape of our stairs didn’t happen. Our sales person made personal promises that were not carried out. When the installers arrived they stated there was no mention of a circular staircase in the notes. The installers worked hard but the stairs just don’t like professional.

GBIt was worse than buying a car After reading all of the negative reviews, glad we dodged the bullet with a horribly pushy and insulting sales rep! It was worse than buying a car!! "If you sign right NOW, we can give you a discount." or "Let me call my manager." First quote was 22K for 1500 sq ft - but miraculously, the price would come down to 16K if we signed on the spot. No thanks...I'd rather have root canal! Pushy, aggressive, and insulting sales reps are a turnoff!!

GBPaid $9000 for laminate flooring in 3… Paid $9000 for laminate flooring in 3 bedrooms and for the extended warranty. 9 months into our year extended warranty we reported our floor buckling and lifting in various spots and some chips because the flooring is such cheap quality. They denied our claim with various excuses each time they called to ask more questions about the claim. The original installer (a contractor hired by Empire) even came out and said it needed replacing in our hallway because there was an obvious spill and moisture coming from underneath because he may not have put a moisture barrier down when he installed it (he couldn’t remember). Yet 20 minutes after he left Empire called to once again say they would not be honoring the extended warranty. DO NOT hire this company, PLEASE do not waste your money!!!!!!!

GBNever Use Empire Today Empire Today installed laminate flooring in two bedrooms on August 25, 2023. Extensive damage began to appear under the bed in the master bedroom. I reported the damage, indicating the area was totally under the bed, was never exposed to anything as it was never walked upon nor cleaned with any water or solvent. I was required to send photos for assessment. A few days later a flooring specialist was sent for the inspection. A few days later I received a Certificate of Completion which I never signed. The inspector indicated the cause of the damage was water and Empire indicated that this was not covered by warranty and that I was responsible for the repair. This is impossible as the damaged area is under the bed and has never been exposed to anything. The inspector indicated in a text that damage by water was his “BEST GUESS” and had entered “N/A” on the Certificate of Completion instead of my signature indicating that I was satisfied with the work performed. I was informed that had to use an inspector certified by one of 3 certififying organizations. Found one. The closet inspector is 386 miles from our home. Empire Today’s warranties and their business practices are terrible, if not fraudulent.

GBMy second experience with Empire I had Empire carpet my home in 2003 and 20 years later I had them remove the carpet and replaced it with a light colored vinal plank flooring which came out beautiful. I had a good experience from start to finish.
