I love this product, but..... I love this product and it was very easy to use and the finished product was exactly what I was looking for. I am not however impressed with the durability! I refinished 2 pieces of English Walnut for charcuterie boards. They were allowed to cure for over a week before use and were extremely fine sanded before finishing. After one use they were heavily stained from berries and cheese and when scrubbed cleaned they are now dull and splotchy. I am now second guessing using this product again on future projects. For the price I expected more.

Great instructions Great instructions, easy to apply, fabulous looking and feeling Matt finish. I used this for a rainbow wood cap on a pony wall around a living room stairwell, a portion of which is a bar facing the TV and fireplace. I am a reasonably accomplished hobby woodworker and have used numerous quality finishes (including rub on) over the years, this was one of the more unique ones - Great grain and color highlighting. I tried both pure and natural on sample products and found the white in the natural not to work in my case as well as pure.

This stain saved this Interior Designer I am an interior designer. This stain saved my life. I had created some very Custom inlays for some tall kitchen pantry doors. The regular stain used did not look good at all. A fellow designer suggested mono coat. We used the Gris Belge. They look amazing. Saved the day!!

Such a great product Such a great product. The ordering is quick and painless and the d.i.y. ability helps a no talent hobbyist hack like myself make a floor look beautiful and professional. I have a hard time seeing myself going back to conventional stain and urethane ever again for any wood project. In addition, having no VOCs and the wonderful smell simply add to the enjoyability of working with this product.

Follow the directions carefully first timer Follow the directions carefully. I am experiencing a learning curve with Rubio. I did not wipe off a sufficient amount of the Rubio Monocoat. It appeared to not stain my white oak enough for my liking and as a result stayed tacky for more than three months in a very warm basement. Next time I’ll wipe like I never wiped before!
