USThis stain saved this Interior Designer I am an interior designer. This stain saved my life. I had created some very Custom inlays for some tall kitchen pantry doors. The regular stain used did not look good at all. A fellow designer suggested mono coat. We used the Gris Belge. They look amazing. Saved the day!!

USI'm a believer! Mark was incredible taking so much time to explain the Monocoat process and what I could expect with my rocker project. I was surprised that sanding would stop at 150 grit when I normally go to 220. On his recommendation I purchased a 20ml bottle of Pure and applied it to a piece of scrap from the rocker. Application was super easy. Just wipe it on and after 5-10 minutes, wipe it dry. The surface was so smooth, everyone in my wood club thought it was sanded to 220, but I had left a section unfinished for comparison. The Pure did everything Mark said it would and I will place an order to do the full rocker. Thank you Mark!

USFollow the directions carefully first timer Follow the directions carefully. I am experiencing a learning curve with Rubio. I did not wipe off a sufficient amount of the Rubio Monocoat. It appeared to not stain my white oak enough for my liking and as a result stayed tacky for more than three months in a very warm basement. Next time I’ll wipe like I never wiped before!

USBest finish ever. Best finish ever. Smooth matte, let’s the grain feel come through—wood enhancing, not covering. Super easy, even application with a shop cloth buffing it in after spreading with a plastic spreader. Looks totally gorgeous.

USGood oil, with caveats This stuff, although expensive, makes a superior oil finish. Be careful with the accelerator. A partial can will 1) glue the can shut if you are not very careful and 2) cure the whole can once opened. For this reason I think it is more suitable for use in larger quantities rather than small woodworking projects. I have to say again that this is an excellent product.
