First of all the socks are great First of all the socks are great! You get the quality you pay for! While most companies won't live up to their grand guarantee claims, Darn Tough are leading the way! When a pair of socks started to develop small holes after three years I filled out the online form, to be honest I was really expecting them to be "Unconditionally Guaranteed for Life". However their customer service made contact very quickly, and with some simple instructions to follow the socks were then replaced. I was very impressed that they stand by their products to this level and honor their warranty, so I also bought another pair. Very happy customer indeed! :)

Will be a customer for life! I love these guys. I initially bought several socks from them and after about a month, realized that they didn't live up to expectations and I didn't really like them. I contacted them as they have a very generous support policy and they agreed to refund my order. They asked a few questions about what I didn't like, but it was obvious for how they talked that it was because they wanted to make a better product, not because they wanted to weasel their way out of supporting it. Well, from that conversation, they recommended a few different pairs which they sent me for free. Those ended up being amazing and I ordered a ton more. I love these guys and between their socks and their customer service, they have a customer for life!

I've been contacted by Trustpilot, Darn Tough Sock want my personal info, including name, email and phone number, Trustpilot say that if I don't provide them, they will take my review down. If I don't provide my personal details to Darn Tough Socks, Trustpilot will remove a negative review. Hang on a minute, some people won't want to provide these details, and negative reviews will be removed. Does this not undermine the whole point of Trustpilot? So, the socks. I bought them in Ambleside, in January 2023, at a cost of over £20. I've had them for a few months and tried them out with my winter (leather Meindl) boots and summer (fabric Salamon) boots. They are a flat sock with little in the way of cushioning. They had a rough texture, I found that they rubbed against the ball of my foot after 3 to 4 miles. While I was in the Lake District I also bought a pair of Eskimo Sock from the Norwegian Shop in Keswick. They were £14 and perform a whole lot better. Darn Tough Socks, lack cushioning, are on the rough side and you can get better for less. I haven't done a long term wear test as I find them unwearable for any decent length of walk. In my original review I gave the item 3 stars, as I took into account all the positive reviews on Trustpilot and other forums. However, in hindsight, I've decide to base my review on personal experience only, and say that I regret buying the socks, that's twenty odd quid I'll never see again.

Great socks Great socks, but the thinner variety has ripped for me. I know they have a guarantee on their socks, but I've just kept a pile of the ones with holes for me to one day try to get fixed. Love the materials and they ARE quite tough, especially the thicker socks.
