Exceptional customer service I purchased a set of L8 Ultra calipers in the summer of 2022, and unfortunately the front caliper was damaged in a race crash in September of that year. I contacted Ted to inquire about a replacement, and was blown away by his offer to replace the caliper free of charge! There were some delays in receiving the replacement, but Ted is an artisan who also relies on other providers for components. Ted is a great guy, and very easy to communicate with - all you have to do is give him a ring, and he is almost always sure to answer. I highly recommend Ted to anyone looking for a lightweight, made in the USA, high performance brake caliper!

Delays and empty promises...No Product delivered I purchased a product and was promised numerous times that it was in production and would be shipping soon. This went on for over 6 months and finally I gave up and asked for a refund. They said my check was in the mail but who writes checks these days. The check of course never arrived. I was asked to pay thru Zelle with a small discount which was a mistake. Make sure you if you do business with Ciamillo you have some type of purchase protection. I understand the company's products are custom made but don't treat people like jerks. Be transparent about the build process. That being said - having bought a set of rim brakes made by Ciamillo from another online vendor, I can attest that the company's products are nicely crafted. You just have to keep your fingers crossed that they actually build your product and deliver. Overall my experience was a major annoyance and I will no longer be buying anything from them again. Update: My check is in the mail??? It's been over 3 months and still nothing received. I'm done here.

Ciamillo G20 Brakes I have been using the G20 brakes for about 3 years. This brakeset is being used with Campagnolo levers. These levers were a big improvement over the Campy brakes. I found the Ciamillo brakes offered much better stopping power with my Mavic carbon wheels. Setup was key to getting the brakes to function at their best. I was initially frustrated with the performance. When I went back and re-read the installation instrucions, that made all the difference. Moving the set screw in or out to adjust clearance is key to getting optimal performance from these brakes.

CIAMILLO DESIGN LLC Brilliant engineer that's always on the cutting edge of the bicycle parts industry. Its not everyday that you have someone that can "IMA-GINEERED" a product just by talking about it and coming out with a working product within months. Only be-spoked companies like Ciamillo Design can actually cut all the board room ho ha's and just get on with the job! Just look at the B-1 Brompton Brake Caliper and Gravitas13 cranksets, pretty impressed with the details and workmanship and they really work when installed!

I'm happy customer :-) Ted Ciamillo makes ultra-light brakes for road bikes and the Brompton folding bike from England. I wanted to use the B1 brake for Brompton on my T Line Urban. The pair consisting of front and rear brake weighs only 133 g. That is about 250 g less than the standard brakes. I feel that the braking performance is just as good. My goal is to get the Brompton T Line under 7 kg. The weight saving on the brakes definitely helps. The communication with Ted Caimiello went very well. Ted usually answered quickly (a few minutes to hours, he lives in a time zone six hours away from me). Delivery was delayed due to organisational issues and I was beginning to fear the same thing happening to me that may have happened to other reviewers in the past. Our communication remained professional and solution oriented and eventually the brake was shipped and delivered. Thank you very much Ted! 27 March 2023 - Date of order and payment 03 May 2023 - Date of dispatch (US Postal) 12 May 2023 - Date of delivery (DHL)
