Horrible Horrible website! I'm doing the "coding essentials" bit right now and it explains NOTHING, at least barely anything! My mother could explain it better, and she doesn't even work with code!

Top 3 qualities Typing.com posses The first good things is that the website is free to use and provides free certificates with each assessment at the end of the unit based on the performance, I don't need to pay money to learn the basics or get a digital certificate, which helps in my case. Secondly, there are many exercises and practices that helps master the letter when learning how to type something new. I have no worries over not being ready with the amount of practice present. Lastly, the team itself is friendly and helpful and they reply fast. I encountered a problem with my account name and as soon as I contacted them, the problem was resolved within less than three hours. The website is also easy to use and is designed in a simple format where within few clicks I can continue from where I stopped.

How to videos is not support for breaks in service. After repeated emails back and forth with support including screen captures to resolve an issue, I keep getting sent how to videos. Failure to read thoroughly the issue is rampant in the support department that I have worked with. So far, several of the premium functions fail such as the real time activity monitor and the assignments functions. The only real reason to pay for this is to remove advertisements.

Terrible for its purpose Pros: - Visual aid when typing in case you forget finger positioning. - Each level slowly adapts to your weaknesses and helps you train. Slightly. Cons: - No auto-log in feature, frustrating to have to log in every time (cookies are a thing). - Poor UI control, once you begin a section you cannot choose to redo or go back to an exercise until you finish the one you have. - Exercises tend to not really help to type faster, they're more of a repetitive nuisance than anything. WPM doesn't really get better. Other sites help me more, especially the ones with Monkeys. - Making any typing mistakes is awful. Make one? The cursor will move to the next character. Get that one wrong too? It wont continue. This severely impacts your ability to actually increase speed and learn from your mistakes.
