The masterclasses are like bitesize… The masterclasses are like bitesize info documentaries with only top-level information. Its ok but you are not going to get real detail, very light touch. I think if Masterclass were confident enough to give customers a taster course, they would probably get better reviews because their audience would be more aligned. It’s very magazine style that alludes to more meaningful content. Guessing that’s the need for the lack of transparently and gotch on renewal charges after a years signup. Sadly not for me.

Even the best masterclasses leave you wanting more as they only cover basic concepts and never delve into practical applications. As of the last few years, masterclass.com has suffered from severe bloat, adding numerous 'masterclasses' about things like opinions, identity, mental states, and other abstract concepts that aren't practicable skills. My review would probably have been around 3 stars if it wasn't for my recent exchange with customer support. I forgot to cancel my subscription and so I was understandably charged for another year. Immediately after I received the subscription renewal email I reached out to customer support to ask for a refund and to close my account. To my surprise they would not refund me. This is extremely unsettling and speaks volumes about the character of the business. They have no tolerance for mistakes and as such capitalize on these mistakes. If you are reading this I urge you not to subscribe. If you are interested in learning something new you will find more information for free on youtube. Personal 1-1 lessons from a local instructor will be more beneficial than anything you can get from this service.

They are bloody charging me out of my… They are bloody charging me out of my pocket till I submit, bend the knee and bow down like dog. It’s a a fraudulent company people, beware! Once your in, your forever locked in. They won’t let you leave! There is no option to cancel subscription, the instructions look straightforward but really it’s just misleading. They never wanted you to leave. There should be a clear bloody visible bottom that says “cancel subscription” but they purposely erased it from their website and app. It’s now become apparent to me that there are thieves running this company. Every company has their fair share of shady business practices but boy, oh boy, masterclass is bloody unreal. You’ve pretty much sold your soul financially and emotionally.
