Med School Application Experience w/ Dr. Ruby Dr. Ruby was incredibly helpful, kind, and generous throughout the advising process as I applied to medical school. I do not believe that I would have achieved the success I did without his guidance. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Ruby and the MedSchoolCoach program for their assistance throughout this process.

Decent but could be improved My overall advisor could have been more responsive. They were helpful for interview prep, but oftentimes I had to reach out to my writing advisor to hear back from my overall advisor. Felt not worth the price for the package. my writing advisor was far more helpful.

General Surgery Applicant with the help of Dr. Ruby I am a US-IMG who applied to General Surgery for the 2024 match cycle. I worked with Dr. Ruby as my mentor at MedSchool Coach. He was a great mentor. He was readily available to take any calls or texts I had at almost any time. He was great at communicating which is essential during the match cycle. He was knowledgeable about the match cycle and what made a desirable applicant. He was great at helping me fine-tune my application and giving me suggestions based on his vast experience. He also encouraged me to make the final decision on content and edits, ensuring my application was personal. I would suggest Dr. Ruby to any applicant applying to general surgery.

Fantastic Experience with Dr. Ruby, Amy Whitcomb, MSC I worked with Dr. Ruby in the 2023/2024 application cycle for medical school, and I could not have asked for a better experience. He objectively evaluated my strengths and weaknesses as a candidate, provided tailored and actionable feedback, and enabled me to tell my story in the most effective way possible. I have now been accepted to a medical school that was at the top of my list. Excellent Experience After a failed application cycle, I was cynical about my chances of success in another one. Dr. Blair Nelson gave me the optimism to trust in the process from the very first meeting. Always prompt with feedback and guidance, he provided excellent constructive criticism and much needed moral support throughout the cycle. RJ was very thorough with editing during primaries and secondaries and helped me present the best version of myself on paper. Being able to choose from a variety of different advisors for interview prep allowed for diverse feedback from multiple interviewer perspectives. I have received multiple acceptances this cycle and am forever grateful to Dr. Nelson and the team for their invaluable support and believing in me throughout the long cycle. 10/10!!!
