About Hear and Play Music

At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop. We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. Our specialized approach teaches students to hear recurring themes in songs and interpret them creatively on the piano. Over the years, we have reached and serviced more than 2 million musicians through various platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, our email newsletter, free lessons, comprehensive paid courses, and a personalized coaching program. I love the interaction between the… I love the interaction between the coaches and students. I believe there needs to be more ear training. I came into the program thinking we were going to learn mostly how to play by ear. Although I appreciate what I have learned, learning by ear is mostly why I participated in this program

Endless Possibilities The VIP Coaching program with Hear and Play music, is by far the greatest way for anyone that is serious about playing music to learn how to become a well-rounded, skilled musician. The coaches & staff are great. They make sure you actually learn & comprehend all the material being taught. I look forward to each class. They do not disappoint! If you want to learn how music really works and how to play the kind of gospel music that you probably heard in church one time, this is the place! You will learn to become a gospel musician and be able to play what you hear. But make no mistake. When you learn these skills, they will apply to all kinds of music.

It provides an opportunity for anyone… It provides an opportunity for anyone to learn how to play simple songs. So you can learn the theory behind music, chords structure, progressions etc. There is no limit to how far you want to go. It wasn’t long before I started a successful entertainment business.i play piano and sing. It’s such a joy to play someone favorite song.
