About Hear and Play Music

At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop. We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. I love learning new songs and being… I love learning new songs and being taught what I am playing I just wish I could spend more time practicing but I’m working it! Thanks GMTC all of you are so beneficial to the cause!

I believe I will eventually be able to apply the concepts I was encouraged by seeing the recital. I’m still struggling because I can’t write out the notes fast enough to practice the riffs, ups and downs techniques for each progressions. I am visual and learning to be audible. I want to purchase that technology that I’ve seen clients use to help with a particular song. “Mixiology and transformer.

I was disappointed with the way discounts were offered and I was charged thousands over the years. I haven't learned or advanced at all. I'm still believing God that I'll meet someone to help me with music, now that I'm retired. I've been purchasing from early 2000 until 2014, or so

My Membership Experience. I have been a member of Gospel Music Training Center for about 5 or 6 years about from 2012 I have a higher state musical education - a conservatory. The site was one of the first in the world for Gospel keyboards. Separately, I bought expensive "Musician Breakthrough 14 DVDs" that included midi files, which I received when I became a member of the Gospel Music Training Center. What I liked most was the availability of midi files for the videos, where I could make out every note and chord. It's a shame that not all early videos have midi files. One day the office was damaged by fire and some of the data was lost.
