About Hear and Play Music

At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop. We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. Endless Possibilities The VIP Coaching program with Hear and Play music, is by far the greatest way for anyone that is serious about playing music to learn how to become a well-rounded, skilled musician. The coaches & staff are great. They make sure you actually learn & comprehend all the material being taught. I look forward to each class. In the short time I have been enrolled, my confidence level to play has greatly increased.

They do not disappoint! If you want to learn how music really works and how to play the kind of gospel music that you probably heard in church one time, this is the place! You will learn to become a gospel musician and be able to play what you hear. But make no mistake. When you learn these skills, they will apply to all kinds of music.

Supporting more hands-on live… Supporting more hands-on live assistance. Opposed to just selling products. I was disappointed with the way discounts were offered and I was charged thousands over the years. I haven't learned or advanced at all. I'm still believing God that I'll meet someone to help me with music, now that I'm retired. I've been purchasing from early 2000 until 2014, or so

My Membership Experience. I have been a member of Gospel Music Training Center for about 5 or 6 years about from 2012 I have a higher state musical education - a conservatory. The site was one of the first in the world for Gospel keyboards. Separately, I bought expensive "Musician Breakthrough 14 DVDs" that included midi files, which I received when I became a member of the Gospel Music Training Center. What I liked most was the availability of midi files for the videos, where I could make out every note and chord. It's a shame that not all early videos have midi files. One day the office was damaged by fire and some of the data was lost.
