About Hear and Play Music

At Hear and Play Music and the Gospel Music Training Center, our passion is helping musicians worldwide unlock the art of playing the piano by ear. Founded in 2000 by Jermaine Griggs, we have dedicated decades to teaching the dynamic skill of understanding and interpreting music through ear training, music theory, and recognizing patterns. Our focus is on soulful music genres that best express this art form, including gospel, jazz, blues, soul, R&B, and pop. We believe that playing by ear transcends traditional music learning methods, allowing musicians to experience and express music in a deeply personal way. I was disappointed with the way discounts were offered and I was charged thousands over the years. I haven't learned or advanced at all. I love the interaction between the… I love the interaction between the coaches and students. I believe there needs to be more ear training. I came into the program thinking we were going to learn mostly how to play by ear. Although I appreciate what I have learned, learning by ear is mostly why I participated in this program

They do not disappoint! If you want to learn how music really works and how to play the kind of gospel music that you probably heard in church one time, this is the place! You will learn to become a gospel musician and be able to play what you hear. But make no mistake. When you learn these skills, they will apply to all kinds of music.

Endless Possibilities The VIP Coaching program with Hear and Play music, is by far the greatest way for anyone that is serious about playing music to learn how to become a well-rounded, skilled musician.
