The content is really great The content is really great. I feel like my musical skills have been elevated and this is a great option for a high quality content low cost way of learning. The courses challenge you to think outside of just watching videos and they teach you how to get out of online learning. My mentor is super fun, inspired me to try out a new process of songwriting that works best for me, and is very knowledgeable about production. Overall, it's a worthwhile experience!

Incredible 6 weeks mentorship with Lavender Looi I had a 6 week mentorship with Lavender Looi. She was absolutely incredible. She is very experienced and professional. She has a vision and a strong sense in music production. Listening to her thought process alone was very helpful. We worked on a new song and fixing an old song that i did previously. She was really nice and she answered all my questions during our calls or per email. Her focus was to help me and answer all my questions even if we exceeded the 45 mins call time. Every week we had a call. During the call, she gave me feedback on what i did the previous week in my songs and answered all my questions and the obstacles i faced and shows me how to do things or sent me absolutely helpful videos. At the end of each call she gave me a homework to work on some parts of the 2 songs. I learned a lot about music production from her. Before this program i was lost and was orienting myself to the youtube videos but she gave me a sense of direction and validated what i was doing right and gave me feedback how to improve other things. She gave me a lot of tips and helped understand the reason for many decisions i take during the music production process. I am absolutely grateful for this experience. Maybe as a hint, a weekly call can a bit stressful for someone who works on the side, but it is doable and i also used the 2 break weeks to do more progress in my songs.

Loved Soundfly and Look Forward to Coming Back I joined for 2 months specifically to do their Intro to Logic Pro X course and found it well worth my time and money. I'd been using Logic for 6 months prior but the course really leveled up my skills. Martin the teacher did a great job with the material without it ever feeling spoon-fed - in fact just watching him move his way around Logic taught me a ton in and of itself. Now, I've dropped my membership while I do a pair of courses elsewhere - but I'll be back when I'm done with those as I'm excited by their courses on production, use of chords and beat making.

Private mentoring with Grammy producer I wanted to get some professional feedback on my productions from someone with way more experience than me. So I decided to work with Ian Prince, a Grammy winning producer. We had weekly calls and after 4 weeks he helped me tighten up my production and I learnt a bunch of techniques and approaches that I can use on all my productions moving forward. I will probably work with Ian again in the future. Highly recommended private mentoring if you're serious about making progress as an artist/producer.

Transformative Experience I worked with Tim Maryon through Soundfly. While it may sound trite and disingenuous, it was truly a game changer. Prior to my work with Tim, I felt as though I was aimlessly puttering around, stuck in musical purgatory. I didn't lack ambition, but I lacked practical guidance that would allow me to form an actionable game plan both in the short and long term. I now feel as though I create with purpose, that I'm no longer bogged down by what I once felt my limitations were, and that the demystification of the process has lifted my creative paralysis.
