GBWould be missed if it went. Would be missed if it went. I say that as I like the shop and buy from there often. Sadly they have little competition in the way of electrical gadget/radio equipment/cctv competing stores so they charge high prices and dont always know about each product but as I said it would be sad to see them go.

GBChesterfield Maplins This is only a small store, but staff are so much more enthusiastic, helpful and knowledgable than the much bigger 'Currys' nearby. We always try them first as its an infinitely more pleasant experience.

GBI placed an order with Maplin under I placed an order with Maplin under #002540986 & all it atates is they are processing the order. No update, used their contact form but got no reply! I urgently require these goods & Maplin are ignoring me.

GBI returned a faulty phone that was… I returned a faulty phone that was probably reconditioned when advertised as new. It asked for a puk code! The SIM card holder didn't work and I sent it back. Maplins received the return but need 3 working days to decide whether I get a full refund or a partial refund! What is that all about? I bought this phone for my 91 year old mother because it is supposed to be easy to operate. It's faulty and you can't imagine how stressful this is when the seller doesn't give a monkeys.

GBA very poor and unprofessional company A very poor and unprofessional company. I ordered two items from Maplin. They send a dispatch confirmation email for both items that will be sent together. Only ONE item was delivered and it was significantly damaged and suspiciously looks like a returned item from a previous customer since the seals on the box were broken. The other item was not even included even though the email says it was. I wrote countless emails to Maplin and completed their online Contact Us forms. Absolutely zero responses. Eventually, I write a review on Trustpilot and surprisingly within minutes they respond apologising for my experience and that they assured me the item delivered was not second hand. I was told I would be contacted by their team... but again further waiting for absolutely nothing but false promises. They use Trustpilot to publicly respond to negative reviews so as to assure other viewing customers not to worry. It's a big scandal. I am now going to my bank to claim the refund since Maplin have failed to take responsibility for their incompetence.
