GBExcellent app to collect crypto I have had a free account with XYO for a couple of months and have already cashed out twice. There are many opportunities to make extra coins in addition to geomining, including surveys, paid gaming and watching ads. It seems confusing at first, but if you take time to explore the opportunities and are prepared to spend time using the app, you can make some money. Regarding the bad reviews on here, I think many people have not understood how to use the app, or how cryptoexchanges work. If the value of payouts seems very low it is because ALL markets have plummeted recently - crypto and stock markets. If you hold your XYO there is always the chance that it's value might rise significantly in the future - or you can exchange your XYO for a different currency. I may upgrade to a paid account in the future, but either way I am very happy with the app and think it is a very interesting way of collecting and learning about cryptocurrencies.

CAJoined the app in 2019 Joined the app in 2019. Mined coins off and on for the last few years. Had over 60 000 coins in my account ( which isn't that much, but also included the purchase of a geotag and a premium plan for a bit) Upon travelling and not using the app for 6 months they drained all the coins from my account. It is within their policy to take back any coins mined if the account is unactive for 6 months. This is theft and bad ethical practice. Horrible policy for a "crypto" asset as it deviates from one of the main purpose of crypto. Shame on you XYO i wont be back and will be letting the world know about your unethical policies.

GBScam/limit devices limit rewards They wont let consumers make even with their investments. In other words, this app cannot be trusted..

GBDon’t be fooled Don’t be fooled, the exchange rate for in app coins to real XYO is insane and keeps going down. About 3 months ago roughly 20 in app coins where worth 1 token now you need 100 and it is still growing daily!

GBI’m a DevOps Engineer: XYO is a Scam Let me be clear: I made $2000 off this “project” but it is indeed a scam I have been following this since basically the beginning. I mined using an old phone off and on, and made what at the time would be about $50 worth. Within about 4 months the coin had gone way, way up and I immediately sold. It’s dipped back and forth since. My issue: I am a DevOps Engineer. I live and breathe Linux, technical documentation, application installation and code quite a lot. I COULD NOT implement a single thing one of their SDKs There’s a note on their website that still says “Next Release Q1 2020” Their GitHub is dead. 2 years since last release. I believe people like me would be the backbone of the network, we know the technical details and are capable of expanding it. But we aren’t the target, the target is gamifying the app, adding subscription services (that never pay off) and selling more and more ad space in the app. And perhaps the biggest issue: their Core Features were supposed to be based on Bluetooth LE, and having location authentication happen when two bluetooth devices handshake and log that to be later uploaded as a proof of contact. Yet They no longer sell Bluetooth sentinels, but NFC cards which cannot passively handshake with other devices. Worse still, not a single answer on how this changes the project, or what the new cards add to the “network” I believe the original “sentinels” were a failed Tile competitor, and they found a way to implement them into their game. In fact, when you got the old bluetooth sentinels you had to update them for it to work with the app. Then they sold out of them, so they found the cheapest thing (NFC Cards) and starter selling those for another ridiculous markup. This is all speculation, but pretty well supported speculation. XYO is a scam and not worth your time or money.
