GBExcellent app to collect crypto I have had a free account with XYO for a couple of months and have already cashed out twice. There are many opportunities to make extra coins in addition to geomining, including surveys, paid gaming and watching ads. It seems confusing at first, but if you take time to explore the opportunities and are prepared to spend time using the app, you can make some money. Regarding the bad reviews on here, I think many people have not understood how to use the app, or how cryptoexchanges work. If the value of payouts seems very low it is because ALL markets have plummeted recently - crypto and stock markets. If you hold your XYO there is always the chance that it's value might rise significantly in the future - or you can exchange your XYO for a different currency. I may upgrade to a paid account in the future, but either way I am very happy with the app and think it is a very interesting way of collecting and learning about cryptocurrencies.

PKFraudsters and Scammers I had been using their COIN app for more than two years. I once redeemed 10000 coins I had geomined for XYO that were roughly equal to 4 dollars. It took me more than a year so not worth it at all. Last month I bought their Pro subscription to check if it was worth it. For the first few days I was only able to geomine 2500 coins per day. But as I understood it more I was able to geomine 4000 coins per day by geomining more in my homebase as I don't drive a lot. On the 23rd day when I had geomined enough coins, if redeemed for XYO, that exactly equal to the cost of the Pro subscription they suspended my account all of a sudden. I contacted their support regarding this. After 4 days they replied that I was using invalid or expired subscription credentials (when my subscription was still valid), I was doing location spoofing (I don't even know what that is) and device emulation (I have been using their app only on my mobile phone) and I have been creating excessive accounts ( I had only account for more than 800 days) and trying their Pro subscription trial (when I had actually bought it). All the accusations stated in their reply were false and vague but still they stated their decision regarding suspension was final without giving me any proof of the above mentioned accusations. Now I can't even redeem the coins I have geomined. They are just scammers and looters and their apps are complete waste of time and money.

GBI’m a DevOps Engineer: XYO is a Scam Let me be clear: I made $2000 off this “project” but it is indeed a scam I have been following this since basically the beginning. I mined using an old phone off and on, and made what at the time would be about $50 worth. Within about 4 months the coin had gone way, way up and I immediately sold. It’s dipped back and forth since. My issue: I am a DevOps Engineer. I live and breathe Linux, technical documentation, application installation and code quite a lot. I COULD NOT implement a single thing one of their SDKs There’s a note on their website that still says “Next Release Q1 2020” Their GitHub is dead. 2 years since last release. I believe people like me would be the backbone of the network, we know the technical details and are capable of expanding it. But we aren’t the target, the target is gamifying the app, adding subscription services (that never pay off) and selling more and more ad space in the app. And perhaps the biggest issue: their Core Features were supposed to be based on Bluetooth LE, and having location authentication happen when two bluetooth devices handshake and log that to be later uploaded as a proof of contact. Yet They no longer sell Bluetooth sentinels, but NFC cards which cannot passively handshake with other devices. Worse still, not a single answer on how this changes the project, or what the new cards add to the “network” I believe the original “sentinels” were a failed Tile competitor, and they found a way to implement them into their game. In fact, when you got the old bluetooth sentinels you had to update them for it to work with the app. Then they sold out of them, so they found the cheapest thing (NFC Cards) and starter selling those for another ridiculous markup. This is all speculation, but pretty well supported speculation. XYO is a scam and not worth your time or money.

GBAnother Cryto company sucking up your money I've been mining non stop on my phone for most of 2 years. Early on when I withdrew my coin to xyo the exchange was 1 to 1. Yesterday I found d out that my 2.8 million coins ( which should have ad a value of $140,000.00 is only now converting for roughly 1 to 100 which essentially makes my account value less then $1,400.00 completely bogus
