GBSCAM- BEWARE I am terribly disappointed. I found a chihuahua named Cue that I was going to adopt today from a guy named Howard. Definitely a SCAM! He demanded $100 upfront for paperwork through venmo, PayPal, or Zelle. I told him the website states no payment to guardian, especially before meeting. He kept insisting he needed it. I told him forget it. I'm not sure the dog even exists.

GBI got my Shih Tzu October 2023 I got my Shih Tzu October 2023 through GET YOUR PET after being disappointed by MANY online sites as well as a reputable, local breeder. I loss my 13 yo Yorkie in 2019 to cancer, then I had surgery during COVID and decided it was time for another fur-kid. The process was seamless! I met the owner in my church parking lot along with my pastor. We both agreed this would be the dog for me! Not sure what problems these posters encountered but everything from the initial meeting to the FREE vet visit was PERFECT. I am so very sorry that the opinions of a few as well as the questionable behavior of many has caused this organization to fold. Way too many pets going into shelters with horrible end of life :-( I had a choice of 3 different dogs but LEO chose ME ;-)

GBSome real owners but many SCAMMERS The first 6 or 7 pet owners/pets I inquired about were scams. Owner demanding $100 via VENMO to even "meet" the pet or to "process paperwork" - or asking for $650 for me to buy the pet directly from them- and the pets obviously did not exist. I alerted GetYourPet and they blocked a few of them - but have let so many of these scams stay on the site for weeks and weeks. I did talk to 1 obvious real owner, and there are real owners on the site but if it's a pic of an adorable purebred-looking puppy it's most likely a scam. I just wish the people running the site would police it better!

GBI had a fantastic experience I had a fantastic experience, but you MUST be careful. The owner and I texted multiple times for several weeks, and I was NEVER asked for money. After I adopted the dog, I paid the fee on website, which was $99. If anyone asks you for money directly or seems shady, don’t do it. Maybe I was lucky — I am definitely a lucky dog mom of a now 5 year old.
