Not happy with interface in development of book Overall I was very pleased with my photo book, however, that being said I’m not happy with the cover. I found the program used to create the book not as easy as other book developers. The term “ bleed line” was not clear.. I thought that was the point at which you can not print, and that there was an visual "unprintable" border extending to the page edge. It even looked that way when I previewed the book . Instead, it seems, after I received the book, that the “bleed line” is actually the actual border edge of the page. My text is at that edge, on the cover, and doesn’t look good. There were several times when I asked for clarification about the interface, but the help response didn’t answer the questions. The finished product, on the whole, is very good, but I would have liked a better interface , and would have also liked a better way (measurment tools) to position images to be sure images were correctly centered, especially when multiple images are on a page. On a good note, the image quality and book pages are excellent!

Amazing printing company Amazing printing company. The quality of prints is stunning, the app is super easy to use, free shipping and it arrived in 2-3 days. The lay flat binding is enough for me to recommend this company to everyone, a lot of my photos are center focused and the book seam doesn't take away from the photo at all.

Keep in mind that if you design your product in their editor, you will not be able to export a high quality/production electronic copy. You can only export a low-quality draft. They do have the option to upload your own design as PDF, but I wanted to try their end-to-end ecosystem. The finished product was given outstanding attention to detail. The pages were crisp and even. The DPI was high. None of the adhesives lifts up. These were issues I had with other manufacturers, but SAAL has a keen eye for detail and did it right.
