It did take a little while to ship the server I ordered and at $65 isn't cheap, but I understand that the server had to be configured and tested before being shipped. On future orders I will expect a 3 day lag in preparation and shipping.

Outstanding prices, excellent products! I've made multiple orders with UnixSurplus, and plan on there being many more. Everything is VERY fairly priced (especially the hard drive offerings!), and customer service is top-notch. It's very refreshing to see a company treating their customers well and proper, rather than just trying to squeeze the most profit out of every one. Looking forward to shopping here for years to come!

Slow to ship but, everything else A++ These folks know how to package hard drives well and securely. 0 drives arrived DOA. Customer service in regards to price matching their eBay shop for a bulk order was A+ as well. My only complaint is that it took a week for them to ship my order. Sure amazon has spoiled us all with fast shipping but c'mon 3 days tops Unix Surplus for an order that does not involve a whole server build (s) and testing. I ordered on an early Monday morning and the order shipped until Friday. According to the testing verification stickers on them, they were all tested on the same day so it does not appear that testing the drives is the culprit to this delay. Overall however, a definite positive experience and will definitely return for more.

Pre-shipment call and email to verify destination address was a good idea. Had a problem due to a faulty memory module but Nick mailed out a replacement. Everything satisfactory now.
